Modstrøm Danmark A/S

After the acquisition of EasyGreen ApS, we merged the marketing departments of EasyGreen with Modstrøm A/S, establishing Group Marketing.

As Head of Digital Marketing and daily manager of a team of 9 people (consisting of both part-time and full-time employees), my responsibilities included defining the digital strategy for Modstrøm/EasyGreen, developing internal processes, and ensuring lead volume for two sales teams with over 20 employees.

During my time at Modstrøm A/S, I played a key role in driving collaboration between our development team, internal digital designers, and the marketing team, transforming them into an effective and cohesive unit.

Together with a talented team, we successfully developed sustainable methods for lead acquisition, lead nurturing, and creating digital synergies across channels for both EasyGreen and Modstrøm. Furthermore, we established a strong foundation for the monthly sales of digital electricity subscriptions, achieving growth of several hundred percent under our leadership through effective sign-up flows and targeted PPC efforts.

At Modstrøm A/S, I also worked intensively on improving processes within the development team, project management, leadership, data-driven digital marketing with monthly multi-million budgets, and the establishment and execution of a partnership with TV2, which ran live for a total of 9 months.

During this period, I strengthened my skills in leadership, project management, organizational collaboration, working with sales departments, and building synergies between sales and marketing departments – all with a strong focus on digital marketing. The scale-up journey and working at an enterprise level have been highly rewarding, particularly after primarily working with start-ups in previous roles.

At a group level, the organization consisted of approximately 250 employees, with my team comprising 9 people.

EasyGreen

Head of Digital Marketing at EasyGreen ApS, a former venture sold from MEDLEY.VC to the Dutch capital fund Waterland & Modstrøm A/S │ Scaleup.

At EasyGreen, we have a goal of educating the average Dane in energy optimization. From scaleup and beyond, a holistic digital footprint plays a versatile role in developing the business through the general marketing mix.

In this regard, I am responsible for the digital marketing mix on digital marketing channels such as Meta, Google, and Email Marketing.

In an executive as well as analytical role, my tasks include strategic planning, data-driven conclusions, project management, brand tone of voice, and executive efforts on advertising and content planning.

In combination with an ambitious marketing team that is brand-oriented, executive, and results-oriented, we set the framework for EasyGreen's positioning on the marketing front.

In May 2023, EasyGreen ApS was sold for a 3-digit million amount from MEDLEY.VC to the Dutch capital fund, Waterland & Modstrøm A/S - I was selected to follow from MEDLEY to the new EasyGreen to continue to develop EasyGreen's digital presence.

I worked as a Digital Marketing Specialist/Analyst at the venture capital fund MEDLEY, where I was assigned as a capacity in the venture EasyGreen ApS. My role was to be the executing/responsible force for digital marketing in the portfolio company EasyGreen ApS.

When EasyGreen ApS was sold for a three-digit million amount to the Dutch capital fund Waterland and Modstrøm A/S, I was selected to continue working at EasyGreen as part of the strengthened team. Along with five others, I moved from the MEDLEY regime to become an executing member of the EasyGreen team.

I got my first job as a 16-year-old young man, right when I started my education. My first job was in the retail store Kvickly Helsinge, which is the most profitable supermarket in all of Denmark. My experiences at Kvickly taught me early on what it meant to work for my own money, save up for what I wanted, and overall, gain work experience.
• Tasks: Stocking shelves, cleaning the stockroom, and managing the bottle return machine.

An ambitious individual who has developed a unique approach to building businesses primarily through self-taught skills and the philosophy of "learning by doing". 

Over the past few years, I have gained experience from both start-ups and scale-up companies through my personally owned consulting firm, the Final Click ApS, as well as my recent stint in a venture capital fund, MEDLEY.VC, where I serve as the responsible person for digital marketing in the portfolio company, EasyGreen.

My personally owned consulting firm, he Final Click ApS, advises and executes digital presence and online marketing for selected partners. With a personal approach to customer relations and a versatile approach to structured collaboration, I have helped numerous companies with their digital footprint and overall online business to generate a 7-figure amount through online advertising.

My time as an entrepreneur has given me unique tools and perspectives to run a profitable business with a focus on the bottom line. I have taken these perspectives and tools into the scale-up game to combine the best of both worlds, where process optimization and data-driven conclusions are more important than anything else.

As a person, I am hardworking, energetic, and extremely ambitious, whether it comes to having a goal of completing an Iron Man in 2025 or meeting internal and external deadlines for clients in my own business or building the next scale-up in the venture world.
