Retail florist.  Spent many years here, both as a youngster helping out my parents, then going full-time with them, until I took the business over in 1998.

I was responsible for all aspects of running the business. from staff, accounts, purchasing, marketing, all the stuff that small business owners need to do!

I was also involved in the creative side, knocking up some beautiful designs (even if I do say so myself!)

All of the staff training was done by me, which is where I first found my love for coaching and training.  The satisfaction of seeing a new member of staff go from little or no experience working with flowers, to an accomplished florist was always so rewarding.

The marketing, particularly the online marketing was always a passion too, I have to admit to being a bit of a 'tech-geek', since having my first computer back in 1981.....anybody remember the ZX81?
