🎨 Once upon a time, I was a regular copywriter, a gun for hire in advertising. My superpower was distilling complex brand communications into 30-second spots. I rejoiced in the title of Executive Creative Director at agencies like JWT and BBDO. However, I was aware of the declining value of creative in a world dominated by digital, data and accountants. 

📚 The realization that creativity alone wouldn't cut it pushed me to pursue an MBA. I needed to master management and combine creativity with strategy to stay relevant and successful. The challenges that followed led me on an explosive and transformative journey.

🏆 As I continued to grow, I became the world's #1 TVC pitch specialist on Google for A-list directors. My expertise in advertising, branding, and positioning enabled me to produce hundreds of TVCs and win more than 100 international awards. 

💡 I went from being a street creative to a trusted advisor. I learned to support my creative campaigns from real-world data insights and research. Serving as a leadership storyteller, I focussed on creating compelling narratives for top-tier C-suite talent.

🥊  My personal journey of recovery from cocaine addiction taught me a lot about transformation. Clean for 12 years, I understand the power of simple spiritual principles applied consistently over time. This experience allows me to hold space for life-changing transformations, which prove invaluable when working with CEOs and founders.

✈️ Traveling the globe to serve clients in US, Europe, Australia, Asia, and S. America, I trained in local mixed martial arts gyms and attended various 12-step meetings, expanding my perspectives on life and further developing my resilience.

💡 The moment of epiphany came when I realized the impact of my experiences on my work. My understanding of 180° transformation, my strategic and creative direction, and my background in recovery all contributed to my unique approach as a creative director and leadership storyteller.

I have lots of specialist promotional, brand ambassador experience as well as many years English language teaching, often using theatre as a tool under my belt all over Europe.I've written a semi autobiographical tale premiering possibly in 2025 and it is about identity within Europe. It has the working title, 'Guestworker'- I lived on Via Tacito. 

Most recently in 2022 i worked as a Virgin money banking advisor having just finished as a contact tracer for the NHS TEST and TRACE . One other source of income is as a professional role player for PRP Players( NHS, Scottish prison service , DWP , some of this has been online on Zoom)
 As an actor I’ve featured on the BBC and broadcast radio since starting a family 3 years ago. As an Actor for hire for film, television, and theatre I’m available as and when .

A company who work in community theatre and all outreach multi media mediums, now Commun Act. I write, direct and stagemanage too.
Most recently we worked with Group Recovery After Care Service in Kirkintilloch in 2015.
I also catered for new play readings and films made in situ(improvisations,table readings etc). More fun interactive workshops were held at  Glasgow's QM Union and in Govan. I was able to draw many and varied audiences depending on the locations . Performances were either non ticketed donations or ticketed depending on what festival circuit i entered into that year and we raised for a homeless shelter.

Setting up holistic drama workshops and spreading the word about community engagement within the arts my work has included teaching drama to adults in recovery from drugs misuse or at risk of reoffending ,people whose first language isn't English, adults from Glasgow's Amateur dramatics scene and young TV extras as well in a generic sense any young adults with an interest in film acting ,theatre and documentaries. I subsequently formed Commun Act (formally M1M8 productions). The work was kick started through voluntary initiatives as a self-employed actor and drama work-shopper starting with a Business Gateway Grant and was originally envisaged as way of opening networks between Scotland and England . I used this business plan from Business Gateway to help to market workshops for hard to reach communities and still use my networks to find the right people to run workshops in my local community. My first foray into this type of work was with West Dunbartonshire's Drug Services project 'The Alternatives'. I then subsequently travelled working all over Europe using drama as a tool to improve spoken communication.

I have also taken part in the Glasgow International Comedy , the Document human rights, Refugee Week, Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film, Declaration and Radical Film Network festivals. A spin off from our work dealing with addiction and homelessness is a play called Rab goes to Rehab. It aired on 19th March 2017.

Recently I've been doing a lot of selftaping for bjmamagement and  landscaping and tree groundman subcontract work in Scotland  but fairly recently I toured Europe with 'Animal farm' by Paul Stebbings Tnt Britain/AdG Europe & theatre du Heron)  and completed a tour of Italy with Action theatre with Cyber Games.

Over 2 years ago ,I was a call operator with Virgin money and I worked for the NHS on the inform booking vaccinations/status and test & trace lines for 18 months from 2021 until 2022. I was also a key worker in care homes (cleaning and catering assistant)during and throughout lockdown. 

 I am regularly involved in back of house stage work, runner/ location/marshalling on film sets, horticulture, gardening ,general construction( driving , scaffolding etc), event sales managing , brand ambassador ( made a special actors appearance as ' Santa' in  Tesco Extras in NE England Winter 2023) and I also teach theatre in community settings and the English language in residential settings 

I freelance as an actor ,professional role player &promotional event manager. On the sidelines, I have also chalked up many years working in hospitality and construction and or hard or soft landscaping. 

As a classically trained actor i've been involved in a number of creative award winning projects namely the world premiere of ‘The Winter Guest’ by Sharman McDonald (playing ‘Alex’ directed in theatre by the late Alan Rickman).

I hold both British and EU (italian) ID so open to travel for work in Europe,too .This past 20 years as well as acting I have also worked as an English language tutor, a field sales lead generator and i ran my own Drama workshops using my own scripts.

Work has taken me as far afield as Ukraine,  to Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, Krakow in Poland &all over Italy and in England ( I started as an activity leader in summer camp in 1999!) 


I will be looking for opportunities in 2024  to do further creative practitioner work and more TV roles
