🎨 Once upon a time, I was a regular copywriter, a gun for hire in advertising. My superpower was distilling complex brand communications into 30-second spots. I rejoiced in the title of Executive Creative Director at agencies like JWT and BBDO. However, I was aware of the declining value of creative in a world dominated by digital, data and accountants. 

📚 The realization that creativity alone wouldn't cut it pushed me to pursue an MBA. I needed to master management and combine creativity with strategy to stay relevant and successful. The challenges that followed led me on an explosive and transformative journey.

🏆 As I continued to grow, I became the world's #1 TVC pitch specialist on Google for A-list directors. My expertise in advertising, branding, and positioning enabled me to produce hundreds of TVCs and win more than 100 international awards. 

💡 I went from being a street creative to a trusted advisor. I learned to support my creative campaigns from real-world data insights and research. Serving as a leadership storyteller, I focussed on creating compelling narratives for top-tier C-suite talent.

🥊  My personal journey of recovery from cocaine addiction taught me a lot about transformation. Clean for 12 years, I understand the power of simple spiritual principles applied consistently over time. This experience allows me to hold space for life-changing transformations, which prove invaluable when working with CEOs and founders.

✈️ Traveling the globe to serve clients in US, Europe, Australia, Asia, and S. America, I trained in local mixed martial arts gyms and attended various 12-step meetings, expanding my perspectives on life and further developing my resilience.

💡 The moment of epiphany came when I realized the impact of my experiences on my work. My understanding of 180° transformation, my strategic and creative direction, and my background in recovery all contributed to my unique approach as a creative director and leadership storyteller.

About ITW
ITW represents professional thriller authors from around the world.

The International Thriller Writers is an honorary society of authors, both fiction and nonfiction, who write books broadly classified as “thrillers.” This would include (but isn’t limited to) such subjects as murder mystery, detective, suspense, horror, supernatural, action, espionage, true crime, war, adventure, and myriad similar subject areas.

ITW’s mission is “To bestow recognition and promote the thriller genre at an innovative and superior level for and through our Active members; to provide opportunities for mentoring, education and collegiality among thriller authors and industry professionals; and to grant awards for excellence in the thriller genre.” ITW By-laws: Article II, Purposes, Section 2.

One of the main purposes of the organization is to provide a way for successful, bestselling authors to help debut and midlist authors advance their careers. To that end, ITW has designed numerous, effective programs and events which promote debut and midlist writers and their work, sometimes in partnership with bestselling authors. In addition, ITW promotes literacy, gives money to worthy organizations, supports libraries, and advances the genre. Finally, it brings together almost a thousand writers, readers, publishers,  editors and agents at its annual conference, ThrillerFest, as well as at CraftFest, a writing workshop program, and AgentFest, where aspiring authors can meet and pitch top literary agents.

Was hired as skipper of S/V Pácata, a 70-foot ketch (Bowman 70 of England) to prepare for transoceanic crossing, from Auckland, New Zealand, to Salinas, Ecuador, through the roaring  40s. After preparing S/V Pácata (dry dock bottom work and refitting) hired the crew but about two weeks out received the news that the owner had died in Ecuador. Thus the trip was cut short and had to return to NZ to take care of the required paperwork.

Leonardo Wild (1966). He has resided in 5 countries and traveled through another 40 in the Americas, Europe, Oceania and Asia. He has worked on numerous jobs, among them aboard sailboats for over two years (he was skipper on a yacht in New Zealand and instruction aboard a school ship during an Atlantic crossing), designing and constructing wooden houses, among others. He has written more than 200 articles on various subjects for magazines both in Ecuador and Spain, and has published/produced both fiction, non-fiction, TV scripts, documentaries and done various translations, the latest on a book of his authorship: De-Mythifying Money; under contract with The Pachamama Alliance. As a scriptwriter, he's worked as a corporate image consultant, marketing consultant and translator for technical manuals for TOYOTA, Ecuador.

Over 160 conferences and book readings both in Ecuador (Quito, Guayaquil, Ambato, Riobamba) as well as yearly in Europe in various cities of Switzerland, Austria and Germany, in schools, cultural centers and city halls on the topics of Indian Cultures of Ecuador and South America as well as (since 1998) on the four-month, 6.000 Km. bicycle trip from Quito to Manaos, Brazil, as well as readings from the published books.
