100%. Unless you're a dev living in the terminal, all you need is Claude Desktop UI.

Adding to Justin's thoughts:

Claude Desktop + Desktop Commander MCP gives you OS-level control - process management, .MD files, diff-based file editing across your entire system, shell commands. Plus better conversation branching and artifact handling.

Want to run a fully impersonated Chrome, analyze audio files, or compress a folder? You can do it from Claude Desktop.

You also get full skills and MCP support with one-click installs.

Claude Code is built for devs. Recommending it to non-technical users for daily work keeps blowing my mind.

[Edited] Claude Cowork released 1 day after this repost:
- makes everything easier
- is available only for Claude Max users on macOS
- doesn't cover everything Desktop Commander handles (e.g., a fully impersonated browser)

What changed: Anthropic made the obvious choice impossible to miss.

What didn't change: the right answer was always Claude Desktop, not Claude Code.

Two tools you should consider using:

Obsidian
Claude Desktop

Obsidian is a clean way to write markdown files. Why Markdown? It’s the defecto plain text document for AI. 

Claude Desktop in “Code” mode. This will allow you to easily read and use your markdown files right in Claude (yes, Claude Code is now in Claude Desktop directly).

To what end?

A source of truth for your entire business or project. Bring it all here. 

Obsidian works on file folders so you can easily sync it like any other folder (dropbox, gdrive, etc). Obsidian also has a built-in Sync service that enables remote team sharing as well as iPhone syncing.

Claude Desktop now has Claude Code built in. This means you can connect Claude Desktop to your Obsidian docs on your local computer using the local files. This can keep you, your team, and Claude all in sync while doing any LLM stuff you might need. Further, you can use it to build up a public knowledge base to display on your website (if you want), you can use it to surface questions to create content, you can use it to track public content, and much more.

As a Wholesale Admin at Japan Centre Wholesale, I processed customer orders through various channels such as email, phone and the company's website. I was responsible for ensuring the accuracy of orders by verifying details such as pricing, discounts, quantity and payment terms. Additionally, I sent out order confirmations, and proforma invoices, and communicated with customers regarding delivery dates, out-of-stock products, and discontinued lines.

I maintained communication with customers regarding delayed payments and updated them on any delivery issues or price discrepancies. I also monitored customers' forecast orders and liaised with the Purchasing Team to ensure that stock requirements were met. As the first point of contact for customer enquiries or complaints, I promptly responded to calls and emails and resolved any issues in a timely manner.

In addition, I organized customer collections and deliveries through various logistics providers such as DPD, Palletline, and Deadline. Overall, I contributed to the smooth running of the Wholesale department by providing exceptional service and support to customers.

Troubleshooting and Customer Management:
- Providing technical support, answering support queries via phone & email.
- Debugging new: software, firmware, web, webservice (using soapui) and mobile application releases.
- Controlling informations on differents datebases using an opensource software (heidesql).
- Creating a new model of loyalty system in line of clients request.
- Contact with Tns helpdesk office for eventually gprs connection issues.
Inventory management:
- Preparing costumer’s order (Pos or bru51 reader, cards, leaflet etc.).
- Charging loyalty application on ingenico's pos (models EFT/ICT2XX/IWL2XX) using LLT Tool and testing the correct function (keyboard, swipe, ethernet connection and eventually gprs connection).
- Work with accountant office and sales office for any verification.
- Contact with Ingenico helpdesk for any enquires.
- Contact with Nexuscom Argentina for inquiries eventually(software, web, application, etc) and information about bugs on applications.
- Contact with TNS helpdesk for any problems or inquires.
- Contact with sms supplier for any issues in receiving of sms sent by the clients.
- Translate documents from spanish to italian using Manual and Help.
