🎊 2026 is a year of celebration: the 10th anniversary of my company, Comma Copywriters, and the start of my 40s. Building an award-winning company, I've seen ups, downs, and  learned along the way. Grateful for the ride.

Crystalee Beck, MPC, is founder and CEO of Comma Copywriters, named on the 2025 list of Forty Under 20 in Utah Business magazine. After leaving the corporate ladder world, she created her own ladder in 2016, determined to be there for her kids with "life-first work." Her team of writers and editors consistently deliver world-class content, recognized for three years (2023, 2024, 2025) as Best of State for Writers' Services. Her business has also been recognized five consecutive years on Utah Business magazine's Fast 50 as one of the fastest-growing companies in Utah, and three times as a fast-growing brand on the Utah 100 list, hosted by the MountainWest Capital Network. 

Comma has also been recognized by the Utah Governor's office as one of 100 Companies Championing Women and as a 2025 finalist in the Silicon Slopes Hall of Fame for Company Culture. Crystalee is passionate about encouraging women with money confidence and elevating business owners through The Mama Ladder, which hosts the annual High Five Grant for Moms and has awarded $115,500 to mom-owned brands since 2018. She once was a flight attendant who made it to all 50 U.S. states, completed her first half Ironman triathlon in 2025, and gets her best ideas while hiking mountain trails.

This week is my 40th birthday!🎈I'm Crystalee Beck, introducing myself with my bold dreams for the next decade:

WRITING BOOKS: I've had titles on my heart for years. This is my decade to birth my books into the world. My books will help leaders and entrepreneurs create life-first cultures and women create time and money freedom.

FAMILY: My kids will grow, and I'll continue to take them on "decade trips" when they hit new decades. When my oldest two kids graduate and leave the nest this next decade, I hope to help them be prepared for independence and feel safe, wanted, and loved when they come home.

ENCOURAGING WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS: We will pass the $1 million mark in grant giving through High Five Grant for Moms, hosted by The Mama Ladder® , helping thousands of women grow their businesses with confidence. I welcome companies and individuals who want to join me in this mission of supporting mom business owners. (Grants given since 2018: $115,500)

OLYMPICS: I see myself and/or my Comma Copywriters team supporting the 2034 Olympics in Salt Lake City, helping with communications. Please let me know if you have a connection.

TRAVEL: I'll make more checks on my travel bucket list with family and friends, and plan to experience 50 countries by the end of my fifties. (Currently 22/50)

MOUNTAIN CLIMBING: I see myself climbing mountains around the world.

I spent the first week of this year making my own dream come true. Sometimes it takes 20 years. ✈️ Took off from SLC in 2025, landed in London in 2026. 

Twenty years ago, I lived on the same street as Kensington Palace for a semester, for Brigham Young University's study abroad program in Winter 2006. 

My first time to Europe, that trip expanded my world view and opened possibilities. London was a turning point in my life. I wrote in my journal that I wanted to bring my future family to England someday. I wanted four kids.

On my 40th birthday, I walked the same streets and visited the Palace Court flat where I lived at age 20. Poetic, and something I'll never forget. This 2026 trip, with the family I've made, was an exclamation point in my life!

My good husband Ryan knew it would be tricky to travel with four young kids (ages 3-11). He was right. But this trip was worth it. 

It felt like 20-year-old me, so full of dreams, got to meet the 40-year-old me who is living them. Magical. ✨

Now to you, friend:

✨Write down what you want most.
✨Book that dream trip. (Or your equivalent.)
✨Take the time off. 
✨Celebrate your own life milestones.
✨Give yourself permission to live your dreams.

No one else can do this for you. You deserve every bit of happiness that younger you hoped for.

How to know your publish-ready point of view + share it effectively. Here's my Monday COMMA CONTENT BRIEF, with🔥hot takes on where content is headed.

🔥Hot Take 1: You don't have to know everything to have a publish-ready point of view (POV). You simply need to know something, know it deeply, and get the words out of your head.

Don't have time to write? That's OK. You can be an expert without being an expert writer. You can hire professional writers or editors to help you with the writing part. I happen to know the best at Comma Copywriters, but you have lots of options.

🔥Hot Take 2: You want to solve a specific problem for a specific audience. A publish-ready POV is *not* generic. Ask yourself:

1. Who is this for?
2. Where are they feeling stuck or need support?
3. What do I believe or know that helps them move forward?

If your answer is “any business” or “all accountants,” it’s not ready yet. 

Here's what this looks like for me: 

I help middle-manager marketers with lean teams turn strategic thinking into publish-ready POV content that delivers real value to their audience. You know your limited time is best spent on strategy, not grammar.

🔥Hot Take 3: Your publish-ready POV comes from what you've LIVED, not just observed. This means you have something to say about:

1. What you’ve seen work
2. What you’ve seen fail
3. What you’ve changed your mind about

If it sounds like a trend report or you're mimicking what you've seen someone else say, it’s not yours yet. Own it!
