Building Bridges Worldwide, Inc.

Building Bridges Worldwide, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization committed to helping disadvantaged communities both domestically and abroad through a network of volunteers. We facilitate the planning, support and fund raising for a variety of featured service projects. These service projects are created through our previous relationships in the volunteer community or by partnering with other organizations which share our vision. 

Building Bridges has completed a wide range of projects around the world.  Our first project was a two room schoolhouse in the remote village of El Lajero, Nicaragua in 2010.  Since then we have completed projects in Nepal (medical clinic and school), Bolivia (water irrigation project), Nicaragua (school), Tanzania (school and water project) and Ghana (school).  In 2017 we are planning trips to Haiti. 

Building Bridges supports these projects by providing volunteers and donating money and materials. As part of each project, our volunteers spend a week living and working in the community we are helping.  We believe that this enables us to build life long bonds that transcend culture.

Building Bridges is funded by the generous professional and personal networks of its members and holds several charitable events each year. We are an efficient organization and close to 100% of all donations go directly to our projects.

Matt Basile is the founder and CEO of Naya Software and an attorney at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP.

He practiced commercial real estate law as a partner at Kelley Drye for over 15 years.  Prior to attending law school, Matt was a software developer and technology consultant.  Combining his technical background and intimate knowledge of the real estate transaction process, he created Naya to improve efficiency in all aspects of financing transactions.  

Matt now focuses most of his time on law firm and corporate law department innovation efforts, including leveraging AI to augment the practice of law.  

Dedicated to giving back to others, Matt also co-founded Building Bridges Worldwide, a not-for-profit organization committed to constructing schools, orphanages, clean water wells, and medical clinics in impoverished communities around the world.  Over the past decade, Building Bridges has completed a dozen projects in seven different countries.

I spent 15 years at a big law firm, built efficiency tools as an associate, and thought law firms would love them so they could work faster.

They didn't.

The core of the problem is the law firm revenue model punishes efficiency.

If these new companies bet on themselves to engineer around inefficiencies then you get a different result for the legal service providers and clients:
