As an executive technology leader with over 25 years of experience, Peter Kuipers boasts an impressive track record of driving operational performance, executing business transformations, creating disruptive digital platform companies, and leading global finance teams at scale.

Peter is the Chief Financial Officer of Clover Health (Nasdaq: CLOV) leading all financial aspects of the Company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and capital management driving financial performance and implementing strategies to optimize operational efficiency. 

As Executive Vice President and CFO at Omnicell (Nasdaq: OMCL), Peter provided financial leadership and strategic vision, helping the company scale from $480 million to $1.3 billion in revenue. Beyond the CFO mandate, he had direct leadership responsibility leading a team of 1,300+ including the Global Supply Chain & Manufacturing, Information Technology, International Business, Corporate Development and M&A organizations – critical pillars in transforming Omnicell into a cloud based platform and SaaS/Tech Enabled Services market leader.

Recognized with the 2018 SF Bay Area Public Company CFO of the Year award, Peter has a proven model of developing world-class finance organizations. He implemented a strategic, partner-centric operating approach at Omnicell – enabling commercial, operational and technology breakthroughs.

As CFO at The Weather Company and Quantcast, he provided financial leadership driving profitable double digit revenue growth through capital allocation, digital platform development, and global expansion.

In prior divisional CFO and executive FP&A leadership roles at Yahoo!, Altera (acquired by Intel), GE, and Akzo Nobel Peter implemented world class financial management and operating rigor to drive business execution at scale. He started his career at EY in audit, IPO services, and M&A due diligence.

Peter has an extensive M&A background, IPO and fund raising experience – managed over 30 transactions with deal values ranging from $20 million to $70 billion, and raised $2 billion+ in equity, publicly traded debt, and credit facilities. He holds a MBA, is a licensed CPA, and completed executive leadership development courses at GE’s Crotonville and Harvard Business School.

When we create a custom recipe product for a chef, there is no room for error, and "WE" take their Vision with immense seriousness to ensure we exceed the customer's needs.

Happy Thanksgiving ❤️ A Message of Gratitude — Especially to My Wife

Today isn’t about pasta, production, sales, or strategy.

Today is about people.

It’s about our families, our customers, our employees, our partners, and every single person who supports us, believes in us, and gives us the privilege to do what we do. I want to thank all of you  truly.

But this message…
this one is dedicated to my wife, Janel.

Anything we build — the new facility, the low-glycemic line, the leadership bench, the culture, the legacy, even this $Billion dream she is a foundational part of it.

What most people don’t see are the hours, the conversations, the emotional load, the support, the ideas, the tough questions, and the sacrifices happening behind the curtain.

She rides every wave with me.
She supports the vision without asking for credit.
She works, learns, grows, and steps up in ways that make our entire organization stronger.
She protects our culture, our family, our faith, and our future  quietly, humbly, relentlessly.

When “Adjusted EBITDA” becomes science fiction...

We’ve all seen it:
Adjusted EBITDA is often the story Management wants to tell.
But unless that story turns into real cash, it becomes nothing more than science fiction.
And here’s where things get dangerous:
You can show a strong Adjusted EBITDA.You can even show a positive EBITDA…but if that number never becomes cash, the sci-fi movie quickly becomes a horror film:

- Salaries paid later than expected
- Suppliers waiting for money
- Growing tension with banks
- A reputation that quietly erodes

Because a business doesn’t run on EBITDA...it runs on cash.

So how do you make sure EBITDA becomes cash?

By putting Cash Conversion at the center of your financial strategy:

- Monitor Working Capital relentlessly
AP, AR, inventory: every small change affects liquidity.

- Control investment discipline
High EBITDA means nothing if heavy capex, expansions, or poor ROI projects absorb all the cash.

- Avoid aggressive accounting
Not just releasing provisions or capitalizing expenses that shouldn’t be capitalized…but also changing depreciation policies simply to “improve” short-term profitability.
These adjustments create an illusion...a beautiful EBITDA that will not turn into cash.

- Focus on sustainable liquidity
Cash is not the end of the story. It is what allows the story to continue.

Final thought

Strong leaders don’t chase the best EBITDA narrative.
They build companies where performance naturally becomes liquidity, 
where the numbers are honest, sustainable, and aligned with reality.

EBITDA is a story.
Cash is the truth.

If you’re trying to be healthy…

You probably wouldn’t buy a Pepsi,
but you’ll buy a Poppi.

You probably wouldn’t buy a Mars bar,
but you’ll buy a RxBar.

You probably wouldn’t buy a Cheeto…
but you’ll buy Siete. 

But you might be starting to realize these are all the same company.

This is the pattern:
1. Clean-ingredient independent brands grind and break through
2. This results in an exit to Big Food where they get acquired by a giant
3. The brand gets “optimized” - reducing costs and often degrading quality

As consumers, I believe we need to be more resistant to brands that make it to this stage.

Which sucks, because all the products I listed have historically been some of my favorite.

But unfortunately, this supports the wrong system and prevents us from having a resilient food system.

Big Food will always have power.
But the worst we can do is have reliance on them.

If we get all our clean snacks and junk from them, they start to set the standard on both ends and quality becomes subjective to corporations.
