ChatGPT Group Chats Will Reshape How Serious People Talk

OpenAI has released Group Chats for ChatGPT, allowing multiple people to talk with the model at once.

I believe this is far more important than it looks.

Any conversation where facts matter is going to feel incomplete without an AI present. That includes strategy discussions, health decisions, financial planning, research, and even personal disagreements.

This shift will not happen because it is flashy or futuristic. It will happen because once you experience a serious discussion that is anchored by a model with more knowledge than anyone in the room, the advantages are obvious.

Disagreements resolve in minutes.
Claims can be checked instantly.
Selective memory stops dominating.
People cannot drift into isolated rabbit holes.
Decisions become evidence based rather than confidence based.

My wife and I have already used ChatGPT together to resolve disputes that would have dragged on. Now this is built into the platform itself.

Group Chats with AI do not replace human conversation. They stabilise it and keep it grounded.

Most fragmentation in modern discourse happens because people drift into separate interpretations of reality. A shared AI eliminates that drift by giving everyone the same factual anchor.

The internet pulled people apart.
Group AI has the potential to pull conversations back together.
