I was responsible for the transformation of an existing IT department into an enterprise class service organization.  This included implementation of company wide processes, procedures, tools and training to align with industry best practice and allow for rapid company scaling.  I created a Program Management Office to facilitate both long term strategic initiatives and the successful tactical execution of immediate projects.  I instituted a balanced scorecard strategy and process.

I held positions of progressive responsibility at FedEx Supply Chain (previously ATCLE and GENCO). I was the IT Manager overseeing the development and sustainment departments before I assumed responsibility in December of 2010 for all strategic initiatives for IT.  In this role I partnered with all department heads as well as senior management to identify and clarify a business’s development needs and objectives.  I led the design, development and implementation of innovative solutions to enhance service, increase customer satisfaction, improve operations and reduce cost.  These responsibilities included identifying enterprise-wide issues, quantifying impacts, developing improvement strategies, implementing integrated solutions, managing transformation and delivering results to executives.

As a WMS consultant I provided ConAgra with technical training and leadership during the migration of support services for RedPrairie WMS from remote to corporate offices.  I provided 24/7 level 2 support for 14 facilities across the United States while training new staff to man a new office.

At Bacou-Dalloz (now Honeywell) I provided technical guidance and direction during the build out of a new centralized distribution facility.  This included oversight of the facilities technical infrastructure and the implementation of the warehouse management system.  I was responsible for the technical strategy and the day to day operations of the IT department in the facility.

First hired as a temporary floor worker in the distribution center I also held the positions of line operator, shift lead and eventually business analyst. Honeywell is a Fortune 100 company that invents and manufactures technologies to address tough challenges linked to global macrotrends such as safety, security, and energy.

I supported the Honeywell Covid Response team delivering the raw materials and finished goods PPE gloves and N-95 masks needed primarily for US Federal and State Governments supply.
 I work with industry experts globally both internal integrated supply chain and external carriers, 3PL, and 4PL TMS teams.

I’m our transportation SME and collaborate cross-functionally to execute transportation initiatives. We stood up 5 facilities within 5 months when the pandemic hit. The 1st facility was running in 90 days, and it was my responsibility to get the materials and supplies needed delivered for its operation.

We shipped over 225 million masks in December 2020.

Additional continuous improvement initiatives included an $800k site LTL savings.

Senior Logistics Manager - Honeywell Industrial Safety 

I was promoted to manage freight for 22 sites in North America which included driving cost productivity initiatives through freight spend analysis and operations process improvements while managing data analysis, managing global carriers, and developing KPIs.

I drove the implementation of our 4PL Transportation Management System and facilitated the training on it at all of our North American sites. I also automated our freight payment systems across 6 sites.

Cost savings initiatives included $1.5 million in freight savings and another $2.7 million by optimizing our carrier mix.

Regional Logistics Manager for North America - Honeywell Process Solutions

After completing my MBA, I came to Honeywell to initiate and drive cost productivity initiatives across North America.

I provided input, guidance, and support to site leadership and led project management and continuous improvement initiatives.

I owned our logistics payment process system. We streamlined and automated our freight payment processes across 3 sites and identified over $1 million in misdirected freight bills.

Continuous improvement initiatives included an increase in output at Juarez by 25% after tweaking warehouse layout and shipping processes and an increase in productivity in Houston’s distribution center by 50%.

Now known as FedEx Supply Chain, Genco was a leading third-party logistics provider (3PL). I was promoted to oversee the daily workflow for a department 4 major processes shipping 1 million handsets per month and processing over 50,000 orders daily with staff of up to 90 direct reports and 300 indirect.

I implemented a time study and standardized our best practices, which allowed us to increase our productivity from 75 pph to 89 while saving $1.1 million in labor costs. We shipped over 1.5 million iPhones in just 4 weeks for the launch of the iPhone 4.

I also led the closure for our Louisiana site and liaised with internal employees and the client to facilitate the shutdown.

Fulfillment Supervisor

I was responsible for receiving AT&T products into our inventory and streamlining various projects around quality control, vendor audits, and technology.

We overhauled our department documentation to ensure ISO compliance, streamlined QC processes, and integrated maintenance of virtual bin reporting into daily receiving processes.

I was promoted to lead the processing and distribution of 45,000 packages in a 325,000 square foot facility. I had a staff of 7 Service Managers and up to 90 package handlers

I was promoted again to assist in the orientation and training of 14 new Service Managers. I also trained over 600 staff members on a variety of job duties including OSHA safety standards, and company policy during the opening of the Hutchins facility.

I was responsible for managing the efficient sorting, delivering, and handling of packages within the specific time frames.

I had a team of up to 30 package handlers and our Hub was ranked 1st in the Southern division for 2002 and came in 2nd nationwide in 2004.
