I left Carlisle in my early twenties because talent is everywhere, but opportunity isn’t.

That belief has taken me across six continents, leading teams through crisis and transformation at some of the world’s largest organisations. From Switzerland to Korea, one lesson kept repeating: whether in global firms or small towns, people often miss the talent and opportunities right in front of them.

It’s why I founded the Purpose Made Podcast.

A podcast and platform exploring how challenge, change, and growth shape who we are. I sit down with athletes, entrepreneurs, creatives, and leaders to uncover stories that inspire resilience and offer lessons worth sharing.

I focus on early-stage companies building applied physical AI—particularly at the intersection of machine perception, computer vision, and graphics for industrial use cases.

I started my career deep in the technology itself, leading engineering teams working on sensing, real-time visualization, and 3D systems for complex production environments. That work shaped early graphics and vision workflows and was presented at global industry conferences. I later moved into product and corporate development roles, including as Vice President at a public company building computer vision hardware and software, where I worked across product strategy, partnerships, and market expansion.

As an entrepreneur, I’ve founded and scaled multiple companies applying AI, computer vision, and 3D technologies across enterprise and creative markets. Across those efforts, I grew organizations from inception to more than 250 people, was awarded over a dozen patents, and achieved three successful exits, including acquisitions by Apple and Roblox.

Today, I’m the General Partner at Spatial Capital, an early-stage venture firm focused on applied physical AI, primarily in industrial technology. We invest at pre-seed and seed, primarily in North America with occasional investments in the EU and UK. My role is to help founders translate deep technical advantage into durable, real-world businesses.

We have a massive data problem in our built environment.

Every day, thousands of gigabytes of inspection data are captured—mostly as disconnected 2D photos. Engineers are forced to sift through them manually, trying to piece together the structural health of a bridge or building.

It’s slow. It’s dangerous. And frankly, it’s subjective.

At ConeLabs, we decided that "good enough" wasn’t acceptable when public safety is on the line.

We aren't just taking photos; we are building engineering-grade reality capture.

Here is what our platform actually does:

Ingests raw data from any source (drones, phones, commercial cameras).

Reconstructs reality into high-fidelity 3D models with sub-millimeter accuracy.

Applies Semantic Segmentation to automatically detect, classify, and measure defects (cracks, spalls, corrosion) in three dimensions.

We are moving the industry from subjective observation to objective data.

The result?

Inspectors stay safe on the ground. Asset owners get a "single source of truth" model. And the Intelligence catches what the human eye might miss after an 8-hour shift.

We are currently deploying this technology with forward-thinking municipalities and partners like the City of Kitchener — but we are just scratching the surface.

The next 18 months are going to be pivotal as we scale our capabilities and our team. We are building the intelligent infrastructure platform of the future.

I’ve had the opportunity to wear different hats in Europe - including executive roles at both a public company and startup. I’ve also been VC partner in both a European and US fund.

Finally met Laura Lake in person at Decile Group’s #VentureUnderground event last week. Laura and I have been meeting every few weeks for the past year and a half—always on video. (Who knew she was so tall?!!!)

My background was building companies and technology; I didn’t make the jump from founder to funder to fill out compliance forms. Laura’s been keeping us on track with filings, taxes, and the realities of running a fund. A godsend!

The event itself was a great reminder of the depth behind Decile. A team of experts coming together from all corners to share context, pattern recognition, and the kind of hard-earned insight you only get by doing this work across many funds.
