I’ve driven over $30m+ in revenue in the past 8 years. 

I’ve spent my career working at venture backed B2C high growth startups either working on growth teams or leading them. 

Over that time, I’ve learned a ton and made even more mistakes. 

From cutting my teeth in the early(ish) days of Facebook ads (pre-stories!), to testing every channel under the sun (Out-of-Home really stuck with me) all the while consistently delivering growth month over month, quarter over quarter and year over year.

I got my start in the world of online marketing when I was 13. 

I started a fan site about the show House MD that I monetized via ads (RIP Adbrite) and affiliate marketing selling tshirts. 

I ran the site for about 5 years while also re-selling phone cases on eBay. 

A lifelong love of online marketing was born!

After spending the first half of 2022 living the digital nomad life, I came back inspired by the people I met who were building their lives and their businesses on their own terms. 

This new found inspiration combined with a lifelong desire to one day start my own business, came together in July 2022 when I decided to take the leap and start George St Growth.

I now spend my time working with B2C Seed to Series A businesses helping them grow as a Fractional Head of Growth, media buyer or advisor, and soon, making digital products.

Some of my results:

→ Achieved CAC equivalent to paid social on an out of home campaign
→ 30% lift in lifecycle campaign conversion rate
→ 80% increase in landing page conversion rate via CRO
→ Reduced CAC 52% while increasing spend 51% across Paid Social and Search in 4 months

Just under a year ago, I joined the East Room

By August, my friends and I had signed a lease on a shared office

When I first started working for myself, I was mostly traveling, doing the digital nomad thing, meeting people and seeing new places

In my second year, I settled back into Toronto and started going to the local WeWork. 

It was ok, we had a good group of entrepeneurs that would drop in and out occasionally.

Over time, it sort of fell apart as people got busy, traveled etc and I stopped going.

I realized that working from home every day by myself was draining my energy

So when I moved, I resolved to find a coworking space and community that I would enjoy going to and where I felt inspired

Cut to August, I have a shared office space with 6 people at the East Room, all working on our own projects. 

A space where I feel inspired, that I love going to and that gets me out of the house.

If you’re working on your own and feeling like you need a change, I can’t recommend getting out of the house enough. 

Join a coworking space, work from a coffee shop, become a regular somewhere and find your people.
