Philipp is a long-time fintech enthusiast and early adopter with a curiosity for innovation in banking and payments.

As Director Financial Services DACH at IDnow, Philipp Angermann is responsible for expanding customer relationships in the German-speaking financial sector. This includes banks, fintechs, and crypto platforms, as well as foreign financial service providers looking to enter the DACH region. 

Prior to IDnow, Philipp worked as a product manager and consultant for various fintech startups, as well as regulated financial service providers in the field of banking and payments. 
Having worked with regulated financial institutions in Germany, Luxembourg and Lithuania, he is familiar with European regulatory and money laundering legislation, which has equipped him with a deep understanding of the requirements of IDnow’s customers.

Besides his work at IDnow, he is an enthusiastic investor in early-stage fintech and SaaS startups through his personal holding PA Ventures GmbH.

As the founder of SulPont, I lead a creative agency that helps B2B brands build stronger emotional connections through powerful event experiences — from trade shows and team events to brand activations and internal culture formats.

My role spans from creative direction to strategic growth — I oversee business development, key client relationships, and the evolution of our service offering across Germany and the EU.

With a background in the arts and over 10 years of creative industry experience, I combine artistic vision with business strategy to design experiences that feel meaningful and deliver real results.

Key highlights:

- Grew SulPont from a bootstrapped idea into a revenue-generating agency serving clients in pharma, tech, and B2B services.

- Secured public funding via the Berlin Startup Stipendium.

- Built a lean international team of creatives, producers, and partners.

- Created signature agency formats like the “Traffic & Conversion Booster” for trade shows, “Brand Activations” and “Entertainment” for B2B events.

- Bridged creativity and operations — from concept to execution, from brand story to measurable impact.

Founder and CEO

Classically trained pianist and contemporary composer with extensive experience in integrating music with other disciplines such as mathematics, architecture, and the arts. My compositions reflect a passion for exploring the deep connections between sound, structure, and artistic expression.

I have had the privilege of studying under highly respected composers including Dmitry Smirnov, Jeremy Peyton-Jones, and Roger Redgate at Goldsmiths, University of London, where I completed an MMus in Composition and Contemporary Music Performance. My work is driven by a fascination with how music interacts with science and other creative disciplines, allowing me to create innovative and thought-provoking pieces.

🎹 My background is in the arts as a classically trained pianist and composer, but I’ve always been fascinated by systems, meaning, and human behaviour. That’s why SulPont stands at the crossroads of strategy and emotion — we create events that move people and move business forward.

Right now, I’m building the next chapter: scaling SulPont across Germany and EU, launching wellness retreats for women (my secret passion), and helping brands bring more soul and substance into their experiences.
