As Director Financial Services DACH at IDnow, Philipp Angermann is responsible for expanding customer relationships in the German-speaking financial sector. This includes banks, fintechs, and crypto platforms, as well as foreign financial service providers looking to enter the DACH region. 

Prior to IDnow, Philipp worked as a product manager and consultant for various fintech startups, as well as regulated financial service providers in the field of banking and payments. 
Having worked with regulated financial institutions in Germany, Luxembourg and Lithuania, he is familiar with European regulatory and money laundering legislation, which has equipped him with a deep understanding of the requirements of IDnow’s customers.

Besides his work at IDnow, he is an enthusiastic investor in early-stage fintech and SaaS startups through his personal holding PA Ventures GmbH.

During my tenure, I transformed the company from its roots as Finleap Connect into a unified, data-driven SaaS leader in Open Banking. By spearheading strategic initiatives—including the acquisition and merger with ndgit—I positioned Qwist as a top European player, enabling banks, FinTechs, and businesses to unlock the potential of data and payment capabilities.
As a passionate advocate for Open Finance, I remain actively involved in shaping the European Open Banking and Open Data ecosystem. Beyond my professional role, I support female founders, social impact businesses, and renewable energy projects through board and advisory positions.

I am also an active FinTech angel investor, driven by a commitment to innovation and sustainability in financial services.
