As an SEO Content Manager, I ensure I am allocating resources effectively to a team of talented content writers and designers, to maximise ROI when improving website content. I do this by using tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Trends, and Google Search Console to find gaps in our content profile, discover new content opportunities, and create data-driven SEO strategies. Joining Vape UK, I pitched my intention of creating and leading a content marketing team. Luckily, I already knew some names and trained them to work alongside me and Vape UK to help achieve our goal.
Using a plethora of tools such as Semrush, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, GA4, I quickly understood where the business is positioned within the market and which areas need improving.
A large part of my role was ensuring new website designs - from the accounts section, homepage, category pages, through to checkout - are created with user experience at the forefront, which includes informative and authoritative SEO copy.
I worked with and alongside in-house and external designers, who work according to the briefs I provide. I also worked with external agencies for web development, blog SEO content, email marketing, and a team of talented content writers.

I've received SEO and Google Analytics training to enable me to more effectively upload Guide, Blog, Landing Page and Social Media content in line with SEO targets and goals. I liaise with and work alongside an SEO Agency and Copywriters to enable us to upload and alter content across multiple websites.

I have trained three new members of staff on work within my role, allowing me to delegate jobs where necessary and still have work completed to a high standard.

I create and manage email marketing schedules & campaigns on both Pure360 and MailChimp. This requires regular meetings and reviews with Line Managers to ensure content and performance are adequate and improving, and any suggestions or feedback gets actioned accordingly.

I design high-quality media in Adobe Photoshop for use across social media websites, promotional campaigns, flyers, and banners using the correct Brand Voice and Brand Guidelines where appropriate. I have taken hundreds of photos for the business, editing them in both Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.

I was responsible for ensuring hundreds of deals across the website had accurate pricing and were competitive. This was achieved through multitudes of Excel 'ratebooks', which had to be adapted from completely different formats to fit our system. I also used 7 different funder systems simultaneously to manually run and compare rates. I made the initial spark of automation—creating a macro that would run quotes for me, and use various pixel colours & timings to achieve this.

I also did IT work under this role - diagnosing and repairing machines, servers, specialist systems, CCTV, internet, and routing phone lines and call groups.
