As a community manager I am driving a group of approximately 160 engineers. My responsibilities are both operational and strategic and include: staffing, hiring management, performance management, developing initiatives and programs that provide opportunities and thought leadership for our community, research and development project ownership.

I was selected to become the team leader of the local business intelligence team (8 team members). 

My daily responsibilities were related to administrative team management, technical support, task breakdown and estimations and overall delivery of required features.

Occasionally I interviewed new candidates for the open positions within our team. 

I provided feedback to my colleagues and participated in their performance reviews as an evaluator.

Business Intelligence Team Leader

Working on custom business intelligence solutions, developed by our department using PHP and InfiniDB (a columnar solution for Mysql) capable of extracting, transforming and loading millions of new entries per day.

One such solution was represented by our state of the art analytics tool that displayed complex in-game data and metrics including financial details to our main game stakeholders.

Daily responsibilities included ticket validation, solutioning, implementation and delivery. I was working as part of an 8 member team interacting with different stakeholders spread across our organization.

I was selected to be a part of a limited special purpose team deployed to identify and fix issues in one of our online games developed for the SE Asia market. Together with my 3 other colleagues we stabilized the product before returning to our original team.

As a former web developer with a backend-centric profile, I started my software development journey as a PHP Engineer. Throughout my career, I have gained experience in various fields, including Business Intelligence, where I worked on large data sets extracted, transformed, and loaded into analytics tools developed by our teams. As a team leader, I led a team of seven people from a technical and administrative standpoint. I have also worked on a world-class CRM solution and have experience in Python development, including restructuring a PHP monolith into microservices written in Python and running on Docker. In addition, I have supported an R&D team in developing a Docker-based REACT+NodeJS+Postgres application.
