Before starting Paramark, I spent the last decade leading growth and marketing teams at fast-growing companies like Dropbox, Pilot, Magento, and BILL.

During that period, we evaluated hundreds of martech tools and, for the most part, were sorely disappointed. Here's why. We found few solutions that could handle the needs of fast-growing marketing teams. They were either incomplete, hard to use, or claiming things that were just flat-out wrong!

This trend is especially true for marketing analytics. Synthesizing and analyzing marketing data to understand effectiveness should be a solved problem. After speaking to hundreds of marketing leaders at some of the fastest growing companies, I was honestly surprised that the truth is far from it. Understanding and communicating the return on marketing investment continues to be one of the top challenges for marketers.

That's why we decided to build Paramark. Our goal is to help fast-growing marketing teams measure and forecast the impact of their investments, unlocking sustainable growth.

10 marketing predictions for 2026 that I'm willing to bet money on. Trigger warning... this ain't for the faint of heart.

1. The volume of em-dash hating posts will not reduce this year

2. Gullible marketers will keep being sold advanced attribution and ai software to solve their growth problems

3. Most marketers will not speak to any real customers or do any real research for weeks (or even months) at a time

4. Also, most marketers will STILL not study the fundamentals of psychology or economics to improve their work

5. Most marketers will continue NOT influencing pricing, product, or business model and yet be given larger and larger revenue goals

6. Many will try using AI for content and then give up when it produces sloppy output and then whine about how AI is no good

7. Lots of gurus on LinkedIn and X will claim they've found the trick for 10x-ing growth in 2026 with some new advertising or growth strategy

8. Brand marketers who don't embrace measurement will struggle to make an impact

9. Performance marketers who don't embrace long-term thinking and "brand building" will continue to hit diminishing returns

10. CMOs who don't spend time educating the CFO and CEO on how marketing actually works, while also driving clear evidence-based growth, will lose their jobs

As a first-generation immigrant born in Holland to a Pakistani father, I never took the easy route. 

For ten years, I  worked as a waiter, bartender, and bar manager in the service industry.

It taught me more than I could imagine.

A 14-year veteran of marketing agencies, I've led cross-country video shoots, managed web and app projects, and most recently scaled a digital practice from $0 to $2,000,000 in three years. 

I guess you could call that full-stack 📚?

Working with Enterprise clients like Verizon, Deloitte, and Microsoft to consulting with fast-growth start-ups like IronNet has given me a broad view of what works and what doesn't.

In addition to my client-side experience, I was an agency operations leader with expertise in defining processes, implementing growth strategies, refining delivery and partnerships, and building high-performing teams and tech stacks.

Of all the clients I've worked with, the ones that succeed understand these three fundamentals:
