AI in wearables feels like a quiet shift.

I’ve been apprehensive about this category for a while but I finally gave in and bought the Meta Ray-Ban.

This feels like a genuinely new form factor, not another screen on the body like watches or rings.

Something more ambient.
More natural.

I’m still experimenting..
A message came in.
The glasses read it out.
I replied, just by speaking.
And it was sent.

No phone in my hand.
No typing.
No breaking what I was doing.

It genuinely made me think about it, look how far we’ve come.
From handwritten letters.
To telegrams.
To phone calls.
To email.
To WhatsApp.
And now… replying to messages without even looking at a screen.

It’s early.
Definitely not for everyone.
And still rough around the edges.

But the potential is undeniable.

I was reading the newspaper when one phrase caught my attention: BARBIE founders.

BARBIE stands for Bachelors Abroad Returned to Build in the Indian Ecosystem.
Founders who studied overseas, absorbed global exposure, and then came back to India to build companies here. 

Who are they, really?

Typically sharp, globally trained, and deeply ambitious. They bring international perspective, strong networks, and a comfort with scale from day one.

What are they building?
Mostly consumer businesses. Brands, marketplaces, fintech, D2C plays. Companies that move fast, focus on distribution, and scale through adoption rather than long enterprise sales cycles.

What’s interesting is what we  see enough few enterprise-first companies. Businesses built around deep capability, long-term contracts, and institutional trust.

As India’s ecosystem matures and AI lowers the cost of building complex products, does this pattern change?

Will the next wave of founders continue to dominate consumer tech?

When AI can write the code, what becomes the real engineering skill?


I read a recent comment from Nvidia’s CEO, he urged engineers to stop obsessing over coding and start focusing on higher-order thinking.

At first, that sounds uncomfortable, coding has always been the core skill.
But when you look at how fast AI now writes, refactors, and explains code, the shift becomes obvious.

The bottleneck is no longer syntax.
It’s judgment...

Knowing what to build.
Understanding why it should exist.
Designing systems that scale, stay secure, and serve real users.

I’ve seen this play out repeatedly in AI training rooms the strongest engineers are not the ones who type the fastest they’re the ones who can frame the problem clearly, evaluate trade-offs, and guide AI instead of competing with it.

AI hasn’t removed engineering.
It has raised the bar.
From writing code
to designing systems.
From execution
to intent.
From doing
to deciding.

That’s where the future of engineering is headed.

Recently, a large conglomerate reached out to plan an AI adoption program across their teams.

Honestly, it felt like luck.

Out of curiosity, I asked how they had shortlisted me. The answer was simple and revealing. 

Their CEO had asked for my name. He had heard about my work from people he trusts. Some had attended my sessions. Some had followed my posts on LinkedIn. Others had seen the outcomes of the cohorts and trainings I’ve been running.

None of this happened overnight.
It came from showing up consistently. Writing, even when engagement was low. Running cohorts. Training teams. Learning every week. Updating my thinking. Staying on the path and trying to truly understand this space, not just talk about it.

Here’s how to shape and train teams to actually deliver AI ROI.


1. Remove tool chaos before you train

Most teams are overwhelmed before they even begin. Too many tools. Too many features. Too little clarity. Start by narrowing the focus. Decide where AI should help, which tools are approved, and what “good usage” looks like. Training without this step creates noise, not impact.

2. Train teams to use AI as a system

AI ROI does not come from better prompts alone. It comes from connecting workflows end to end. Teach teams how research feeds strategy, how strategy feeds execution, and how outputs loop back into decisions. When AI is embedded across this flow, teams stop treating it like a helper and start treating it like infrastructure.

3. Train by role, not by tool

Generic AI sessions fail because everyone hears the same thing. Real ROI comes when sales, marketing, ops, finance, and leadership learn AI in the context of their actual work. Training should mirror real scenarios, real decisions, and real constraints.

4. Build ownership into the training

If no one owns outcomes, there is no ROI. Assign responsibility. Each team should walk out knowing what they will automate, accelerate, or improve using AI. Not later. Immediately.

5. Measure outcomes, not activity

Stop tracking tool usage. Start tracking time saved, decisions improved, cycle times reduced, and revenue or cost impact. When teams can point to outcomes, AI adoption sustains itself.

Most organisations don’t need more AI tools. They need a better way to enable their people.

AI in 2026 and what comes next


I was recently in a long conversation with Dhiraj Jain about how AI will actually play out over the next few years. 

We began with chatbots, the large language models became accessible to everyone. That phase moved incredibly fast and, in many ways, has already started to plateau. The gains are now incremental, not transformational.

From there, we saw a wave of vertical AI tools. Marketing tools, sales tools, finance copilots, research assistants. These were genuinely useful, but they still lived in silos. Each tool solved a slice of the problem, not the whole workflow.

The real shift started when organizations realized that AI tools alone don’t change outcomes. Systems do. We are now entering the phase where teams are building connected workflows, orchestrating multiple agents, and letting AI move work across functions instead of just generating content on demand.

Along the way, something important changed quietly. We moved past prompt engineering. First it was about asking the right question. Then it became about structuring knowledge through knowledge graphs.
Now it is about context graphs. Understanding intent, memory, dependencies, and decision paths across work. This is what allows AI to act with continuity instead of starting from zero every time.

Looking ahead, the surface area of AI expands even further. Edge AI brings intelligence into devices. AI starts living inside hardware. Robotics becomes practical, not theoretical. 
AI begins to operate in the physical world, not just inside documents, chats, and dashboards.

My belief is that 2026 is when this all becomes real in a visible way.

At that point, the question will no longer be which AI tool to adopt. It will be how we redesign work itself around what AI can now do reliably. That is the shift most teams are still underestimating.

Agents, demystified.

For the last year, “AI agents” have sounded bigger and more mysterious than they actually are.

Google quietly released a detailed guide that  explains agents for what they really are.
Not magic. Not sci-fi. Not autonomous beings.
Agents are simply systems.
Systems that can:
 • break work into steps
• call tools
• coordinate multiple models
• run reliably in production
• be governed, monitored, and scaled

This is the missing layer many enterprises struggle with.

Not “which model to use”, but how to move from idea to execution at scale.

If you’re serious about AI in 2026, agents won’t be optional.

But they also don’t need to be intimidating.

They just need clear thinking, strong use cases, and disciplined system design.
That’s the real work ahead.
