Meta & Apple are messing with your LPV rates again.

If your Link Clicks to Landing Page Views have dropped recently, then it's not just you. This is happening everywhere.

We're seeing LPV rates drop from 80% to 40% (normal is around 70%). 

Nothing changed on our end. Same landing pages. Same offers. Same targeting.

Here's what you can do to stabilise performance:
1. Check your ad placements. Remove anything that's giving you crazy high cost per LPV and not reaching your audience.

Imagine three types of people in your ad funnel targeting pool: Amit, Bharat, and Chitra.

1️⃣ Amit: The Ready-to-Buy Customer
- Amit knows he needs a laptop.
- He has researched online, compared prices, read reviews, and shortlisted a few models.
- He’s planning to make a purchase this week.

👉 If your ad is optimized for purchase conversions, Amit is your guy.

But, here's the catch:
- Amit’s CPM (Cost Per 1,000 Impressions) is high because he’s also being targeted by every other laptop brand.
- Amit is constantly bombarded with ads from competitors. Retaining him post-purchase will be tricky.

So, targeting Amit may bring sales but, it isn’t always the most cost-efficient approach.

 
2️⃣ Bharat: The Browsing Customer
- Bharat is thinking about upgrading his laptop, but there’s no urgency.
- He’s casually reading reviews and checking specs, and he might buy one next month if a good deal comes along.

👉 Bharat doesn’t convert easily through purchase-optimized ads right now. 

Instead, you can:
- Target him with mid-funnel campaigns optimized for soft conversions like "View Content" or "Add to Cart."
- By the time Bharat is ready to buy, he becomes an Amit who already knows and trusts your brand.

The earlier you engage Bharat, the cheaper it is to keep him in your funnel.


3️⃣ Chitra: The Curious Explorer
- Chitra doesn’t even know she needs a laptop.
- She’s not in the mood to buy but loves exploring cool tech videos or gadget reviews.

👉 Chitra belongs to the top of the funnel.

Here, brand awareness campaigns are key—ads designed to make her remember your brand when she eventually decides to buy.

These campaigns have a low CPM and are great for long-term brand building.


The Funnel Breakdown:
If your audience pool has 100 people:
- 10 Amits (ready to buy, high competition, costly to target).
- 30 Bharats (warming up, more cost-efficient, your future Amits).
- 60 Chitras (cheapest to reach, builds future demand).

Recap:
- Every laptop brand fights for Amit, making him the most expensive and competitive.
- Smart brands target Bharat early to convert him into Amit at a lower cost.
- Forward-thinking brands invest in Chitra to build their future funnel.

Types of Ads for Each Stage:
- TOFU (Chitra): Brand Awareness, Video, Reach Ads.
- MOFU (Bharat): Engagement, Traffic, Lead Gen Ads.
- BOFU (Amit): Conversion-Optimized, Retargeting, DPAs.

A well-structured funnel means more conversions for less money—simple as that.

During my first marketing internship, I lived with 3 roommates who worked at an IT company.
