Every time I don't buy from one of my friends or colleagues, I curate a thoughtful, warm lead to send to them. 

Nothing says I love you to a trusted partner's business than sending them warmed up leads who are ready to buy. 

I don't send them cold folks. I take time to figure out who in my network might benefit from meeting them, and explain the value of their product/service in detail to get buy in, then make an intro. I try to get double buy in -- both people say "yes, I'd love to meet them" before an email shows up.
