AR Collections Specialist 

Sambazon

In charge of managing and reconciling key account deductions and bring them to a resolution. Also, hands-on with all collections and keeping accounts to current balances. I ensure DSO for the company improves over time and implement the proper procedures to help run the department efficiently and with a high level of customer satisfaction. I have the primary responsibility for the management of receivables for Sambazon.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• A/R Collections related to all Natural Channel accounts, and other key accounts, as assigned.
•Processing of all cash receipts sent to Sambazon's Lockbox via check, wire, and ACH, as well as processing of cash and credit card payments, and the periodic deposits made direct to our local branch.
•Analysis and validation of chargebacks from assigned customers, and application of their corresponding credit memos into SAP system. On occasion, will require refuting of invalid deductions.
•Verify the credit history of new customer accounts, and enter new accounts into SAP.
•Work closely with Operations staff, as necessary, to obtain POD documentation; resolve any invoicing issues related to assigned customers; and to cut off shipments to non-paying accounts, when applicable, upon approval by A/R Manager.

Deduction Management:
•Managing and reconciling open chargebacks/disputes/short payments on accounts receivable 
•Resolving customer disputed deductions pertaining to pricing, bill backs, damages/shortages claims, etc. 
•Full understanding of customer’s and company’s operations (i.e. customer’s portals, company’s process/procedure etc.) to efficiently resolve authorize or un-authorize deductions 
•Following credit memo coding guidance to record proper account on credit 
•Work closely with Customer Service and Sales to set up new customers, credit limits, and ensure proper finance documentation loaded into the system 
•Proactively manage credit holds, and communicate effectively with Customer Service, Sales, and Customers

Accounts Receivable Specialist

As the Accounts Receivable Clerk I have primary responsibility over the monitoring and processing of collections, deposits, and deductions for key customers that Sambazon conducts business with.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•	Collections and processing of payments from key customers in SAP. Includes, but not limited to, the negotiation of payment schedules when necessary.

- Full ownership for payment processing and application to customer accounts received via LB,ACH, Wire transfers to all company customers.

- Analyzed and processed request for trade references and credit checks for new customer setups and payment terms, very comfortable evaluating credit worthiness of potential new customers

We have to stop attacking people for “cringey” sales behavior.

Because the truth is: 

Most people aren’t waking up saying…
“How can I be spammy today?”

They’re saying…
“How can I pay my bills?”

Acknowledging that fact matters.

Existing today is expensive. 
And people are in survival mode

Housing, groceries, childcare… the basics cost more than ever, and most people don’t feel financially safe.

That’s the actual problem. 
People don’t feel safe.

So what we call “bad” sales tactics are usually just symptoms not character flaws.

- Symptoms of insecurity.
- Symptoms of people under pressure.
- Symptoms of not knowing a better way to sell.

Symptoms of trying to build a business when they feel like they are drowning.

This is why empathy matters.

When I see desperate outreach or messy content…

I don’t shame it.
I don’t roll my eyes.
I don’t post rants calling people the problem.

I’ve been doing this for 20 years. I know exactly what survival-selling looks like and why it happens. I’ve been there myself!

People don’t need judgment.

They need support.
They need training.
They need money to survive.

(And a better sales system.)

Fix the root → the behavior changes.
Support the person → the tactics improve.

If you’re selling from survival right now,
You’re not broken. 

You just haven’t been taught a better way yet.
And that’s fixable.

So let’s all agree to be kinder.

90% of LinkedIn creators pay for likes.

But they won’t tell you that. 🤫

Let me explain…

They either pay with their TIME.
↳ Commenting and liking other creators posts nonstop to get engagement in return.

Or they pay with MONEY.
↳ Hiring a VA to do commenting for them so their posts look like they’re performing well.

Either way… vanity metrics cost something.
Time or money. 

There’s no free lunch on LinkedIn.

So if your posts aren’t taking off…
Chances are you’re not “failing.”
You’re just not paying the LinkedIn piper.

And you need to comment more.

I’ve had this conversation with leadership way too many times.

Instead of encouraging their teams to post and teaching them how to build personal brands to drive revenue.

- They tell them not to post.
- They claim it’s about “brand safety”.
- But that’s not the real fear.

The real fear is:

- You’ll succeed at building your personal brand.
- You’ll attract new opportunities and jobs. 
- You’ll outgrow them and leave. 

They need to realize that nothing lasts forever
and if you do leave, you’ll have already brought in more than enough revenue to make it worth it.

So here’s the move:

- Post anyway
- Don’t post anything controversial
- Block everyone at your company

Because this is your personal page.
And no one gets to take that from you.

Or the opportunities that come with it.

I comment on my competitors posts.

But not all of them comment on mine. 🤣

Which is just fine with me because I believe in this ONE thing ➜ Abundance.

I chose a long time ago to let go of a lack mindset. So I choose to support others in my space.

I always comment good things.

- Words of praise.
- Words of support.
- Words of encouragement.

There’s a very small percentage of people who actually understand how to use LinkedIn the right way to drive revenue, and I choose to support my fellow “competitors” in this space.

- We are in the trenches together.
- We are trying to teach the same things.
- We can help a lot of the same companies.

Which is OKAY! There’s plenty of business to go around. Just look at all the endless spam in your inbox - lots of problems to solve!

At some point, you have to start viewing competitors through a different lens.

They’re not the enemy. 
➜ They’re people who chose to solve the same problems in the world as you.

And when you view it through your buyer’s eyes, choice is a good thing. Different styles and approaches help people find the right fit.

There’s plenty of work to go around.
Your competitors aren’t the enemy. 

So support them with a kind comment.

The Elf is missing…

He’s somewhere in our storage unit buried in a pile of boxes.

My youngest keeps asking when he’s coming.
I couldn’t lift half the boxes to check…
So I bought a new one. 😂

He’s on the way.

Many of you know that this summer, I bought a new home and decided to gut the whole thing. I played contractor for 66 days with zero experience and got it done.

(10/10 do NOT recommend doing this.)

We moved in the first week of October right in the middle of cheer season, travel lax, Q4 client work and everything else life throws this season.

Trying to make this house a home has been exhausting. 

Can’t even spin it.
I’m so tired.

As a single mom, I wouldn’t suggest doing it this way. The mental load has been a lot.

But we’re in.
And figuring it out as we go.

Still some boxes in storage that need to be unpacked….

Hence the missing elf.🤷🏼‍♀️

Don’t bother creating LinkedIn content for your clients…

Unless they’re doing these 3 things daily.

- Commenting on 30+ posts.
- Starting conversations with 5 new people.
- Immediately responding to every comment for 1 hour after posting.

If they can’t do it…
Make them hire someone who will.

OR 

Provide a commenter for them for an extra charge. If they refuse - don’t take them on.

Content without engagement doesn’t work.
(Unless you are creating content for a beautiful woman who shares photos.)😉

And most of your clients aren’t hot enough for that play. They need to do engagement.

So get some boundaries, protect your agency and require those three things.

Send video messages to your prospects.

That’s the post, just do it.

Most LinkedIn creators are too scared to check this. 😱

(Because it reveals if their buyers are actually viewing their profile.)

If you’re brave, this 2-minute check will tell you instantly whether your buyers are seeing your content and landing on your profile (or not).

Here’s what to do:

1. Go to Sales Navigator
2. Click on "Lead Filters"
3. Click “Viewed your profile recently”
4. Add filters for your ideal buyers  (titles, geo, company size etc.)
5. Then see how many of your potential buyers are viewing your profile.

Even if your engagement is good and you have a high following… the results may shock you. 

I just checked this for a client and it immediately explained why his content wasn’t converting. Only 25 people in his target buyer pool viewed his profile in 90 days.

My results..
I had 6,500 people view my profile.
And 1,500 of them are my ideal customer profile.

(If I included individuals who can join my Skool Community this number is closer to 3,000.)

Be brave, go see who viewed your profile.

Say what you do.
(What you actually do.)

Stop complicating…

- Your website headlines.
- LinkedIn headlines + banners.
- And STOP confusing your customers.

For example: Stephen used to have a Lion and some random jargon on his headline.

Now he has clarity.
His headline and banner clearly communicate what he does.

The banner says:

“Training B2B sellers to generate warm referrals that drive quality pipeline.”

Boom.

It’s so simple even Grandma could understand it. 😉

Born the same week.

(And yes there are fun times in a house of lions)

But I will keep the same lion energy as I continue to impact our community!
And likely I’ll add it in other parts of my business.
