AR Collections Specialist 

Sambazon

In charge of managing and reconciling key account deductions and bring them to a resolution. Also, hands-on with all collections and keeping accounts to current balances. I ensure DSO for the company improves over time and implement the proper procedures to help run the department efficiently and with a high level of customer satisfaction. I have the primary responsibility for the management of receivables for Sambazon.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• A/R Collections related to all Natural Channel accounts, and other key accounts, as assigned.
•Processing of all cash receipts sent to Sambazon's Lockbox via check, wire, and ACH, as well as processing of cash and credit card payments, and the periodic deposits made direct to our local branch.
•Analysis and validation of chargebacks from assigned customers, and application of their corresponding credit memos into SAP system. On occasion, will require refuting of invalid deductions.
•Verify the credit history of new customer accounts, and enter new accounts into SAP.
•Work closely with Operations staff, as necessary, to obtain POD documentation; resolve any invoicing issues related to assigned customers; and to cut off shipments to non-paying accounts, when applicable, upon approval by A/R Manager.

Deduction Management:
•Managing and reconciling open chargebacks/disputes/short payments on accounts receivable 
•Resolving customer disputed deductions pertaining to pricing, bill backs, damages/shortages claims, etc. 
•Full understanding of customer’s and company’s operations (i.e. customer’s portals, company’s process/procedure etc.) to efficiently resolve authorize or un-authorize deductions 
•Following credit memo coding guidance to record proper account on credit 
•Work closely with Customer Service and Sales to set up new customers, credit limits, and ensure proper finance documentation loaded into the system 
•Proactively manage credit holds, and communicate effectively with Customer Service, Sales, and Customers

Accounts Receivable Specialist

As the Accounts Receivable Clerk I have primary responsibility over the monitoring and processing of collections, deposits, and deductions for key customers that Sambazon conducts business with.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•	Collections and processing of payments from key customers in SAP. Includes, but not limited to, the negotiation of payment schedules when necessary.

- Full ownership for payment processing and application to customer accounts received via LB,ACH, Wire transfers to all company customers.

- Analyzed and processed request for trade references and credit checks for new customer setups and payment terms, very comfortable evaluating credit worthiness of potential new customers

Ladies, if you’ve ever been called “mean"...

Read this:

Last week, a client of mine from Serbia said:
“I love how direct you are."

It stopped me in my tracks.
Because most of my life, I’ve been shamed for it.

The truth is:

1. Men are praised for being direct.
2. Women are punished for it.

Same behavior. Different rules.

Research backs this up. Across 60+ studies, women who were just as direct or dominant as men were liked less and penalized for it:

- Seen as “less hireable”
- Rated 35% less competent
- Judged as deserving up to $15,000 less per year in pay

That number got me - $15,000 less per year!!!
On top of the global pay gap.

But here’s the point: Direct ≠ Mean. 
(Even though they get conflated all the time.)

Direct = efficiency and outcomes.
Mean = mistreatment.

Let’s stop confusing the two.

Because directness is a gift.

Even when it comes from a woman.

And I’m like:
I know, thank God

Facebook was ruined the moment they let my mom join back in 2006 (when I was in college).

FB got wrecked by boomers…
Just like our housing market. 😬

Kidding. Kidding. (sort of)

So in case you missed the memo:
LinkedIn isn’t Facebook.

Anyone else hearing this too?

You don’t want to hear this, but it’s the truth.

The booked meeting rate for COLD outbound is under 1% (for mid-market and enterprise B2B sales).

Here are the real ranges:

Cold email: 0.1%–0.5%
Cold calling: 0.1%–0.4%
LinkedIn (cold): 0.2%–0.8%

A CRO I advised recently told me one of their reps sent 100+ LinkedIn video DMs and booked zero meetings. My first response was no way, he’s so charming 😆.

Butttt based on data.
Statistically, that outcome is normal.

Many teams will send 500 cold emails before they ever get a qualified booked meeting. 

Debate me if you want. This is what the data shows across revenue teams. And these are the results even when the ICP is locked in and the messaging is right. 

- Separate domains. 
- Strong deliverability. 
- Clean data. All the boxes checked.

Cold outreach is a tough game. 

That’s why I teach Social Selling and other WARM outreach tactics to get meetings booked.

Are you coming?

Everyone thinks their LinkedIn content is failing…

But here’s what typical post performance really looks like. 

These are the average post impressions (based on follower count):

1K-5K followers → 466 impressions 
5K-10K followers → 733 impressions 
10K-25K followers → 1,121 impressions

So the good news is:

- Your account’s fine
- You’re not shadowbanned
- Your impressions are totally normal

Bad news:

- Your writing is average (not special)
- Your impressions are again… totally normal 
- Your English teacher (and maybe your momma) lied

Kidding. (Sort of.)

All jokes aside, most of you give up too soon. You assume your content isn’t working if it doesn’t “go viral.” But this chart proves otherwise.

Keep going. Learn how to write like a marketer.

And adjust your expectations because your content isn’t failing.

My prospect said: "I hate social media."

I said: "Okay, then don't use it."

He has been in business 20+ years with a solid rep but leads were slowing down. He was posting on LinkedIn because he thought "he had to" but had no engagement or leads.

So I told him:
Skip the content.

Focus on warm, personalized outreach to current connections. Ask for referrals and update your LinkedIn profile.

He got 3 replies in one day.👏

You don't need to post content.

But you do need a strategy that builds pipeline.

LinkedIn is blowing up and the Wall Street Journal just confirmed it.

- 1.3B members 
- Daily usage is climbing
- $17B in revenue last year (up from $7B in 2020)

Here’s what they’re attributing the growth to:

1. Real names minimize nonsense.
No handles. No anonymous accounts.
Real names minimize the trolling rift raft. 

2. Real names make people perform better.
When your name, face, and company are attached, people behave better.

3. The algorithm favors content that creates opportunity.

Gyanda Sachdeva, the company’s head of consumer experience said the algorithm doesn’t promote hot takes but emphasizes posts that create “economic opportunity” and get saved or shared.

“It’s almost never coming from a place of controversy,” she said. “It’s usually very constructive.”

(Their words, not mine. Especially on #3.) 🤣

Cold email will still work in 2026.

You just need to adjust the approach.

Try this..

Separate the people who:

1. Aren't active on LinkedIn
2. Active but haven't responded on LinkedIn

Make sure your emails are written differently for these folks.

Keep all cold emails SHORT 1-3 sentences max.
(It's your best chance at breaking through the email security filters.)

Write a question and quickly share your solution.

Cold email can work for you.
