In 2013 I finalized my 2-year Coaching education being certified by the German Association of Coaching and Training (dvct) where I am an active member since then.  At the same time I founded my own business as Executive Coach in parallel to being an active member of Nokia's Global Coach Community till end 2018.  

After leaving Nokia, my focus expanded to helping engaged Coaches to have the business success they deserve.  In return they contribute every day to making our world a better place.

Aber was ist denn nun LinkedIns neue Funktion "𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁"?

𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 = 𝗴𝗲𝗸𝗮𝘂𝗳𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗶𝘁.

„Boosting“ bedeutet, dass du einen bereits veröffentlichten Beitrag kostenpflichtig zusätzlich bewirbst, damit er sichtbarer wird — also mehr Reichweite über deine bestehenden Follower hinaus erhält. 

Konkret:

• Du wählst einen 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻 Post aus, repostest und boostest ihn. Er wird dann als 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 im Feed von mehr für dich relevanten Usern gezeigt. 
• Du bestimmst, um was es dir geht: mehr 𝗦𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗶𝘁, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (Likes, Kommentare, Shares)
• Beim Boosting ist die Aussteuerung (Targeting) weniger ausgefeilt, als bei einer LinkedIn-Werbekampagne (Ads). Festlegen kannst du die Zielgruppe, Standorte, Branchen
• Du legst die Dauer fest z.B. 5 Tage
• Das System kalkuliert deine Kosten und ein mögliches Ergebnis z.B. Reichweite

Wichtig: Boosting funktioniert bereits für Unternehmens-Seiten. Für persönliche Beiträge (“Profilbeiträge”) ist die Funktion noch nicht überall verfügbar. 

Sobald der Button "Boost" über einem deiner Posts auftaucht, kann es losgehen. Achtung: 𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁 alle Post-Typen sind heute boost-bar, z.B. keine Karussel-Posts.

Was kostet mich der Spaß?

Seit einiger Zeit fiel mir auf, dass meine Posts anders performen.

Ich hatte Dialoge mit sehr 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗲𝗳𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴, aber meine Posts erzielten 𝘄𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘄𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗲.

Das bestätigt auch eine Analyse von Richard van der Blom, die er kürzlich veröffentlichte. 

Zwischen Februar 2025 und Oktober verlor ein 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻-𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 -𝟱𝟬% 𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘄𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗲! Das ist enorm, eigentlich katastrophal!

Was sind die 𝗚𝗿𝘂̈𝗻𝗱𝗲 dafür? Kurz:
• eine Übersättigung des Feeds
• anspruchsvollere User

72% haben keine klare Nische!  
Dramatisch!

Die meisten Coaches und Solopreneurs starten motiviert, sehr gut ausgebildet und erfahren in ihre Selbständigkeit.

Dennoch 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁 die Mehrheit innerhalb von nur 18 Monaten.

Dafür gibt es viele Gründe; einer ist definitiv eine schwammige Nische.

Denn das 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 jeder Selbständigkeit ist 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲 Klarheit über deine Zielgruppe = Nische.

In this role, I developed valuable leadership and organizational skills. Building and managing a newly established, mostly remote team during the COVID-19 pandemic taught me the challenges leaders face and the importance of adapting leadership approaches to different personalities and employee needs. This experience enables me to help my coaching clients develop strong teams and enhance their leadership skills.

The management and optimization of CRM systems and preparation for the implementation of new systems have honed my technical mindset. I apply this mindset to tasks such as designing and programming my own website and considering effective CRM systems and processes for my coaching practice.

In this role, I worked with colleagues from around the world—not only on-site in Frankfurt but also in various other countries. This made the role incredibly exciting!

My empathy and ability to understand my colleagues' situations, tasks, and challenges helped me provide optimal data support. These skills—listening, understanding where my colleagues are, speaking the client’s language, and offering the most relevant solution—are also invaluable in my work as a coach.

In this role, I worked directly with senior management as well as a diverse range of colleagues from Sales, Marketing, Controlling, Supply Chain, and Medical.

I gained many insights from this role that I now apply in my coaching practice:

Understanding how different people respond to major changes and recognizing that while some can adapt quickly, others take more time. When I began this role, it was already known for a month that our department would be sold, and we were facing significant changes.

Knowledge of working with and alongside executives and senior leadership taught me invaluable lessons in leadership dynamics.

Adapting my communication style to suit each individual was and remains essential for my success: for example, sales colleagues tended to be more extroverted and fast-paced, while Controlling and Supply Chain colleagues were often more introverted and detail-oriented.

Adjusting to different levels of knowledge, experience, and emotional states has proven vital in my daily work: some decisions and changes are challenging yet necessary. Communicating this effectively and helping others process it is a skill I use frequently.

As the first employee in this area in Germany, I learned how to establish a new department and develop a new business model. This experience is invaluable as I build my own coaching business today.

Additionally, topics like data science, machine learning, and AI are more than just buzzwords to me – a perspective that greatly benefits my clients in the pharmaceutical industry who work with these concepts.

When I started in this role, there was hardly any market research or customer data analysis at Thomas Cook. I introduced these areas for colleagues in travel agencies and sales, guiding them through the transition to data-driven decision-making—despite numerous technical challenges.

The skills I gained—empathy, active listening, meeting people where they are, taking small but achievable steps, and resilience in implementing new technology—still serve me well as a coach and trainer. They enable me to support my clients through change processes effectively.
