I was literally trained to experiment. Be extremely curious. Test, Refine and iterate! 

Research like a boss and use system level thinking!

It builds resilience (failure = reiterative process to get the desired outcome).

Document like a boss - I was trained if it wasn't written in black ink it didn't happen. 

Data driven decision making. Look for patterns to determine the best "lever" to change.

Embrace Change - always looking for ways to improve productivity/efficiency which help me look at the end-to-end CX (hello, bowtie) and find ways to reduce cost to serve for sustained profitability. 

Process/Frameworks are critical - how else do you design an experiment? (for business =GTM- Revenue Architecture model)

Communication -lots of papers written and one of my ninja skills is simplifying the complex so anyone could understand!

Pavilion, formally Revenue Collective, is a private membership organization for commercial growth operators. Our community is designed to support the professional development of revenue leaders at high growth companies, facilitate the sharing of best practices, and serve as a trusted private community.

One door opens. And somehow, a few more appear.

Last year, I partnered with Empressa AI  to help teach a cohort of women the foundations of AI. I said yes because I care deeply about access, confidence, and women being part of the future we’re all building.

What I didn’t expect was what that yes would unlock.

Through that experience, I was granted membership in the The WIT Network. 

And last night in Dallas, I found myself in a room full of thoughtful, ambitious women doing a 2026 bingo-style vision board, dreaming out loud, together.

I finally met Cass Cooper, MHR  in person and connected with so many other incredible women. The kind of room where conversations feel easy, honest, and expansive.

For anyone who’s followed me for a while, you know one of my goals is to land a TEDx talk. No surprise that square made it onto my bingo card. 

What did surprise me were the side conversations that followed. Panel and women  groups speaker opportunities. Doors I hadn’t even knocked on yet.

It was a reminder I keep coming back to:

You don’t always know where a door leads when you open it.
But momentum has a way of introducing you to the next one.

So I’ll ask you what I’m asking myself today:
What doors are you willing to walk through even if you can’t see what’s on the other side yet?

Sometimes, one brave yes is all it takes.

I see this a lot especially with high performers.

You look around.
You scroll.
You compare.

And suddenly it feels like you’re behind.

Behind on titles.
Behind on clarity.
Behind on milestones you thought you’d hit by now.

Let me say this clearly: you’re not behind.

You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Growth isn’t linear. Careers aren’t timelines you can “win.” And feeling a little lost? That’s not failure, that’s usually the signal that something new is forming.

You are enough right now, not just when you land the next role, close the next deal, or figure out the next chapter.

Every season has a purpose:
• The messy ones teach you
• The quiet ones prepare you
• The uncertain ones stretch you

So if today feels uncomfortable or unclear, take a breath.

It’s not a sign you’re doing it wrong.

It’s a sign you’re evolving.

Stop measuring your chapter against someone else’s highlight reel.

Trust the unfolding.
Keep going.

You’re not late.
You’re not lost.
You’re becoming.

Texas is getting a little snow and freezing rain today.
And predictably… we’re all losing our minds.

Which makes sense.
We don’t have snow plows.
We don’t have the infrastructure.
We weren’t built for this season.

It reminds me of standing in Northern Ireland at the Game of Thrones studio, staring at the words:
“Winter is coming.”

Not as a threat.
As a warning.

In business, winter always comes too.
Markets shift.
Budgets tighten.
Deals slow.
Priorities change.

And the companies (and leaders) who struggle the most aren’t the ones hit by 🥶 they’re the ones who assumed it wouldn’t happen.

Preparation isn’t pessimism.
It’s leadership.

It’s building for business continuity.
It’s scenario planning when things are still calm.
It’s asking, “What breaks if the temperature drops?” before it actually does.

Texas isn’t broken it’s just optimized for summer.
And a lot of businesses are, too.

So as you’re sipping coffee this Saturday morning ☕️
Ask yourself:

👉 What season am I building for right now?
👉 And am I prepared for the one that’s coming next?

Because winter isn’t the problem.
Being unprepared is.

Overthinking isn’t a thinking problem.

It’s a leadership one.

When leaders overanalyze:

 • Decisions slow

 • Direction blurs

 • Teams lose confidence

Great leaders don’t wait for certainty.

They decide, learn, and pivot when needed.

Stepping away from a traditional executive role can feel risky — especially when you’ve spent years building a career.

Four years ago, I was there myself, in a career transition, after decades of experience building new offerings, taking them to market, fixing businesses and starting up business units. 

Resources are scarce even in large companies and the politics….holy cow. ☠️

After many interviews being told I was overqualified, companies didn’t need “all that”, the run around, ghosting, and our “roles are narrower than what you do”…..I was SO FRUSTRATED. 😡

Eventually, I quit looking for a job and started to make my own. StartStak.ai now in its third year, is where my passion for entrepreneurship meets purpose.

I’m excited to lead an upcoming educational session for the Chief network for executive women who are exploring entrepreneurship as a potential next chapter, especially while in between roles.

In this session, I’ll share:

- How I transitioned to becoming a founder
- What I wish I had known before making the leap
- How to evaluate entrepreneurship as an alternative to corporate paths
- Practical guidance on early-stage business planning and go-to-market execution
- Managing your mind on the journey and avoiding burnout

Team #StartStak, is a skills first company. The criteria I look for is you are the best at what you do. I really don't care where you live. 

"Back to the office" is for companies with real estate and leadership issues. I don't have either of those problems, but understandable, many companies do. 

Our team is based across many time zones including UK, US, Brazil, Pakistan, India, Canada, Nigeria and The Philippines - which will evolve as we grow. This is not about "labor arbitrage", this is about speed, precision and accuracy. 

StartStak operates by way of a meticulous follow-the-sun model that runs continuously across all time zones. Our software development, content, marketing, product, design and media teams all work in carefully coordinated handoffs across various projects and deliverables. This means progress doesn’t pause when one region logs off — it’s passed forward into another set of capable hands - like a business relay race. 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

Every single person uses #AI within their work, for their specific domain. However, everyone is Accountable, Responsible and in Control (from my TED Talk 3 years ago) of their work. This means, quality of the work is very high and each individual "owns" the work output. 

"AI did it", does not fly here. What we have learned is “AI-Slop” takes more time to unwind, so we take care of how AI is part of our daily work. 

Clear ownership, strong process, shared context, and deep trust in each other’s technical expertise allows StartStak.ai to produce the output of a company five times our size. 

This type of operating model allows for impressive efficiency, but only works because of the people who form our skills first team. When we hire, we are looking for unique talent, broad skills, the ability to context switch across many projects, operate independently, though we work as a team and make decisions together along the way. 

This has led to a culture of transparency, discipline, and respect. Teams have to think not just about their own work, but about what the next team needs to succeed. Our global design with the right people in the right jobs is an extreme advantage that includes diverse perspectives.

Product–market fit is one of the most talked-about concepts in SaaS, yet one of the least understood in practice. 

Everyone has metrics for what success looks like after PMF, but almost no one talks honestly about what it feels like while you’re in the thick of it, before the metrics begin.

We’ve partnered with SaaStock to run a qualitative, multi-cohort study to observe founders living inside PFM. By really understanding “the messy middle”, better frameworks can be built to guide founders through the most difficult part of the company building journey.

Valuable insights are already emerging from our 4 cohorts; the Seekers, Survivors, Scalers and the Stranded that are challenging common industry narratives. 

From our Survivors group, the early insights from founders who made it through the ‘Messy Middle’ have a few things in common:

- PMF didn’t feel like a breakthrough. It felt like constraint.
- The riskiest phase wasn’t failure, it was when it’s ‘almost working’.
- They listened to customers, but filtered requests carefully.
- Patterns emerged before metrics. Metrics came later.
- Focus wasn’t optional. It was survival.
- False positives looked like momentum without repeatability.

And for this cohort, they report, there is never “comfort”. 

Post-PMF isn’t easier — just quieter and heavier, with more responsibility that looks and feels like stewardship.

My first experience in front of high quality media was yesterday! 😅 

It was extremely rewarding to be able to share what we’re building and why it matters. Top journalists on the #AI and innovation tech beat were there from selection publications you will recognize.

Generally, we don't participate in "Pitch Competitions" at #StartStak, because talking about the fact that 95% of all invested capital is wasted due to the startup failure rate, is like a big wet blanket at a pitch competition. 😅 

In our experience, pitch competition organizers generally don't want to hear about the $300B economic problem in the US that has roots in the "startup industry".
