Financial management responsibilities include payroll, accounts payables/receivables, general ledger/financial reporting, cash management, and employee relations.Management focus centers on fixed asset management and records management. Maintain compliance with IRS, Department of Labor, and various government agencies to maintain proper adherence and financial reporting. Serves as project manager for the compliance of outsource vendors; addresses questions related to applicable underwriting guidelines and scope of compliances. Compliance/Business management responsibilities include directing, implementing, and monitoring policies consistent with the Department of Labor and UAW International Policy. Monitors changing regulatory guidelines and procedures; submit recommendations for changes in reporting policies and procedures that assure continued compliance. Administers a positive working relationship with both internal and external customers to ensure a cohesive workflow. Assists internal and external customers in resolving financial issues with the local and the corporate office. Successfully maintains positive relationships with employer representatives and union representatives.Provides and coordinates research, analysis, forecasting, and reporting for contract negotiations (details e.g. benefits, wages, staffing, etc.)
