In addition to our corporate partnerships work, I supported the implementation of a brand new fundraising program. Setting up the fundraising system, stakeholder engagement, privacy impact assessments, IT, comms and training.

I help our people at IAG connect with their community. Delivering programs designed by myself and my colleagues within IAG Community Connection and Safer Communities. with partners such as Red Cross and GIVIT. 

I have run fundraisers that raise thousands of dollars for charity, whist supporting our people in running their own. I coordinate volunteer experiences that connect our people to the community and give back in meaningful and useful ways.

I've had the experience to use my creative brain in coming up with unique fundraising concepts, designing collateral and writing captivating comms. I've built process maps, and updated websites, contributed to strategies and success measurements. 

I loved every single moment of this role.

Coordinator, IAG Community Connection

In this role I was able to support the work of our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging strategy. It allowed me to contribute to building a more equitable IAG and world for our people. That honor continues to make me proud of the work I was able to do.

One of my main responsibilities was in the ownership and delivery of our Kids@IAG school holiday program, supporting hundreds of parents and children across the country in receiving free care over the school holidays, allowing our parents (and especially the mother's within our company) to continue working, use less of their leave (saving it for when they really wanted to use it), and bring a part of them to the office that is otherwise unseen. The program allowed our people to connect with each other in new ways and build a better culture - the users of the programs had higher work satsifcation and employee net promotor scores. 

I also assisted in running workshops, building and designing collateral, coordinating speaking events (Rosie Batty was one of my faves!), data and administration and research.

Support - Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging

Coordination and management of IAG's national school holiday program, used by over 500 parents nationally
Administration and data entry for programs and projects, with daily use of microsoft suite
Created presentations for various reports, projects and workshops
Supported three part-time managers with diaries, including travel, room bookings and meetings
Interpretation, creation and design of models developed by managers
Stakeholder engagement with suppliers both internal and external
Support of Indigenous Engagement Manager, in the coordination and management of CareerTracker Interns, AIME Mentoring, RAP launches and RAP working group
Agenda setting and minute taking
Creation and upkeep of internal intranet page and internal communication platform, Yammer

My husband started this company from his flat in Inner North Melbourne, long before I knew him. Printing comics on his work's printer, stapling them together and distributing them to small comic shops and selling them at local comic maker markets. 

Once I met him, and we had been together for some time, we ramped up the business. Bringing in incredible artists with talent you could only dream of having. Publishing and printing thousands of books, partnering with Mad Man distribution, appearing on the Australian TV show Neighbours, speaking at events and given free stalls at large conventions. 

It was a lot of work, with small financial reward, but something that made us both incredibly proud. We gave voice to those who were not well known often working other jobs to fund their passion, and who now with our help are thriving artists. We connected people to worlds imagined, and helped them to continue dreaming and living the life they wanted.
