My first job paid me $70K.

My last role at Amazon paid me $325K.

From the outside, it looked like everything was going perfectly.

Great salary.
Smart team.
Stock options.

But recently, a conversation with someone still inside Amazon stopped me.

He said something I can’t stop thinking about:
