A couple of weeks ago, I found myself unexpectedly out of the business for a short period.

At a time when there is so much going on, shifting priorities, performance focus, transformation, cyclical activity (to name a few), it wasn’t an easy moment to be absent.

But what happened was something I won’t forget.

My team and peers seriously stepped up, not just to keep things moving, but to lead. They made thoughtful decisions, supported one another and protected the integrity of our people agenda. There was no noise, no drama... just collective ownership and quiet accountability.
