The biggest shift for me wasn’t learning more tactics.

It was realising that LinkedIn Ads isn’t a lever you pull.

It’s a system you manage.

Budget, creative, measurement, funnel, journey.

If one breaks, performance degrades in other. 

The difference is running ads…
Vs running a growth engine.

This is where most LinkedIn posts should start.


Right after a conversation.

Before the next meeting.

While the thinking is still unfinished.

Most people wait for a “clear takeaway.”

That’s why their content sounds generic.

The value is in the decision pressure:

→ What didn’t land the way it should have
→ What stalled the conversation
→ What had to be reframed
→ What almost got agreed

That’s the post.

Not the meeting summary.
Not the lesson.

The friction.

If you can show how you think before the answer is obvious,
you don’t need frameworks.

People follow clarity under pressure.

Most LinkedIn profiles are neutral. 

And people treat profile optimisation like a checklist:

Banner.
Headline.
About section.
Posts.
CTA.

All technically correct.
All strategically empty.

All underperforming.

Because profiles don’t convert based on completeness.
They convert based on direction.

When someone lands on your profile, they’re unconsciously asking:

→ What is this person about?
→ Why should I care now?
→ Who is this for?

Every section either answers that 
or creates friction.

The checklist matters.

But only if every item points to the same idea:

“This person knows what they’re doing and who they do it for.”

Most B2B content fails before the first sentence is finished.

Because of 1 simple reason.

People don’t engage with “good messaging.”
They engage when something inside them gets activated.

Every action on LinkedIn is driven by a dominant emotion:

Gain.
Status.
Safety.
Control.
Belonging.

If your content doesn’t intentionally pull one of those levers
the rest of the post is irrelevant.

This is why most teams “fix” copy and see no lift.

They optimise words after the decision moment has already passed.

The job of content isn’t to explain.

It’s to create internal pressure.

To trigger a decision.

Once that pressure exists
logic does the cleanup.

This is not theory. 

It’s levers.

Dominant_Emotions

We spent a lot of time improving content.

Better hooks.
Clearer messaging.
Stronger positioning.

And it worked.

Engagement went up.
Traffic increased.

But then the same question kept coming back from clients:

“Why doesn’t this turn into pipeline?”

That’s when we stopped looking at posts…

and started looking at what happens after.

Most marketing budgets fail before the campaigns even start.

Bad campaigns are not the main issue.

The leak usually happens when:

Money gets pushed into campaigns
before anyone agrees on:

→ who it’s actually for. 
→ how success will be recognised. 
→ what needs to change in their head. 

So teams optimise tactics
while objectives stay fuzzy.

That’s how you get:

1. endless tests.
2. weekly reports.
3. no real learning.

High-ROI teams don’t start with campaigns.

They start with clarity.

One audience.
One objective.
One belief to shift.

Only then does spend compound.
Only then do experiments produce signal.

Everything else is just moving money around.

Alignment first.

Execution second.

SoGPT de Societe Generale est mort. LinkedIn s'enflamme.

Depuis quelques jours, le même message tourne en boucle par l'écosystème IA Martin Pavanello Christophe Auffray Olivier Kenji Mathurin Claudia Cohen Carine Duranton 
"Arrêtez les interfaces IA maison." "Personne n'a recréé Office en interne." "Laissez ça à Microsoft et formez vos équipes." 
Je comprends l'argument. 

Mais il rate l'essentiel.

ChatGPT, Claude… ce ne sont pas des logiciels de bureautique.
Ce sont deux choses : 
→ Une interface conversationnelle grand public 
→ Des API pour construire des applications métiers sur-mesure

Personne n'a recréé Google en interne. Mais des milliers d'entreprises ont construit des moteurs de recherche sur leurs propres données.
Ce n'est pas la même chose.

L'erreur de SoGPT ? Probablement pas d'avoir voulu "faire maison". C'est d'avoir construit une surcouche cosmétique, déconnectée des processus métiers.

La vraie question n'est pas "faire ou acheter".

C'est : qui maîtrise l'orchestration entre les LLM et votre SI ? Qui possède le capital IA que vous construisez ?

Après avoir perdu la bataille du cloud, l'Europe peut-elle se permettre de refaire la même erreur ?
