We analysed 1,000s of AI answers to find out how LinkedIn content can improve your AI visibility.

Semrush found that LinkedIn is the 2nd most cited website in AI answers (behind Reddit).

But their only other insight?

"LinkedIn: A steady rise across all AI platforms"

So we went much deeper with Mentions and analysed 4.8M AI answers and 13.4M citations.

Here are 7 key insights we found:

1. Almost half (42.5%) of all AI prompts we’re tracking cite LinkedIn at least once. Huge reach for a single platform.

2. AI citations of LinkedIn grew by 72% in just 6 months. AI tools are finding and using LinkedIn content more every month.

3. 85% of LinkedIn citations come from Google’s AI products (AI Mode and Overviews). Using LinkedIn for AI visibility is mostly playing a Google game.

4. LinkedIn Pulse articles get 8x more citations than regular LinkedIn posts. Long articles work way better than short posts for AI visibility.

5. LinkedIn Pulse articles are doing two things at once: They help content rank on Google and then get picked up by AI answers.

6. Company pages get cited more often than any other LinkedIn page type. If your company page ranks well, it is cited more consistently by AI.

7. AI loves LinkedIn most when people ask about people, companies, experience, and practical advice.

Here are the types of prompts where AI is most likely to pull from LinkedIn (from highest to lowest):

I called my shot last year, then spent 183 days making it happen:

Launched 2 businesses in 4 cities and hit $75k MRR.

But here’s what calling my shot has made painfully clear:

1. Define the shot before you take it

I asked myself: What would the best 6 months of my life look like?

I wrote down the answer. Then showed it to my co-founder, Jake:

"We’ll spend 6 months moving from city to city, meeting interesting people. Launch two businesses and grow them fast. Build in public, and get invited on all the podcasts we've been fans of for years."

And it all came true.

You can't call your shot if you don't have total clarity on what it is. Write it down. Make it specific. Then do it.

2. Go to where the interesting people are

Whatever shot you're calling, you will need people.

I spent 6 months moving from city to city, connecting with unique and talented people.

The people I met ended up becoming my co-founders, clients, and team members.

Moving cities is your competitive advantage because so few people are willing to do it.

3. Be the first to drink the Kool-Aid

People want to join a mission and get excited about something. So don't be afraid to sell it.

You may never arrive at the original destination, but here's a secret: nobody cares.

Most people just want an excuse to go on an epic adventure.

Dream big, define your vision, then build a team around it.

4. The biggest mistake is moving so slow you don’t make any

Our first CTO quit. And we didn't let it slow us down.

In less than 24 hours we:

Met with a new candidate
Made a handshake deal for equity and comp
Flew him across the world to sleep on our couch

If you make mistakes, good. That means you're moving fast enough.

You can't steer a stationary ship.

5. Be loud and unapologetic

I’ve documented everything we built on platforms like LinkedIn and X.

People told me not to share our numbers and growth strategies publicly. But I did it anyway.

Most coaches think they need more leads.

More shoutout placements. More content. More ad spend.

To be quite frank with you... most of them don't have a traffic problem. They have a conversion problem.

Our best clients hit $1M months with 600-750 calls. 

We've had offers where cash per call was close to $2,000. 

That's $1M from 500 calls.

If you're booking 2,000+ calls to hit $1M per month, your sales process is leaking everywhere. 

More traffic doesn't fix that. It just makes the leak worse, faster.

Plug the leaks first:

• Pre-call assets that push show rates above 70%
• Setters who qualify leads instead of just booking them
• Closers running a process, not winging it
• Post-call follow-up for deals that didn't close same day

Then scale the traffic.

After helping 30+ coaching and consulting businesses scale past $100k/month, I've noticed the same bottleneck kills growth every time...

It's not traffic. 
It's not the offer. 
It's not even the sales team.

It's that founders try to solve strategy problems with volume.

Here's what I mean:

Their show-up rate is 40% because nobody trusts them yet. 

Instead of building trust assets, they just try to book more calls.

Their content attracts spectators, not buyers. 

Instead of changing their format, they post 5x/day hoping something sticks.

Their DM setters can't separate serious buyers from browsers. 

Instead of training them properly, they just hire more setters.

Their sales team needs 2,000 calls to hit $1M. Instead of fixing conversion, they spend more on ads.

The pattern is always the same: Add more inputs instead of fixing the system.

But here's what actually works.

Master organic first. Get to $50k-$100k/month with solid content, a tight DM process, and sales assets that pre-handle objections.

Once that's dialed, then you pour fuel on the fire with paid amplification.

Strong foundation + paid distribution = exponential growth.

Paid ads without organic is like building a house on sand.

If you're stuck at $100k trying to scale, stop adding more. 

Start fixing what's already there.

If your close rate is low, I'd bet your leads are showing up cold…

They don't know your story. 
They haven't seen proof it works. 
They've got a dozen unprocessed objections. 

And you're asking your closer to fix all of that in 45 minutes.

That's not a sales problem. That's a nurture problem.

Sales assets are what people consume between booking and the call. 

Done right, they walk in pre-sold and already answered half their own objections.

The 5 we use most:

1. Personal story video - builds connection and trust before they've said hello
2. Free course - breaks down the vehicle in depth so they understand the opportunity without giving away the how
3. Webinar replay - 60-90 minute training that hits all the right psychological triggers
4. Client case study - shows the full transformation so they can see themselves in it
5. PDF guide - easy to consume, covers your story, the vehicle, what didn't work, and proof

Stack them. 

Start with one or two, get them right, layer the rest on top.

One cheat code on top: once someone books, pull all your student wins, testimonials, and FAQ videos into a single Q&A pre-call page. 

They can answer their own objections before you ever pick up the phone.

Show rate goes up. Intent goes up. Your closer stops explaining the opportunity and starts building strategy.

Same leads. Way better outcomes.

Most coaching businesses run one offer. One price point. One type of buyer.

Here's the thing... 

Not everyone in your audience is the same person. 

You have broke skeptics, normal buyers, and corporate people making $250k a year with $100k in savings. 

Sending all three through the same funnel is like telling them all to climb the exact same tree.

What we call the "Cash Maximizer" is three offers, three buyers:

1. Low ticket ($1-2k) - for leads that DQ themselves in the setting process
2. Core high ticket ($6-15k) - your main offer
3. Ultra high ticket ($25-150k) - for high net worth individuals who want done-for-you

The one coaches skip is the low ticket. 

They DQ leads, throw them into a lead magnet, and hope for the best.

We actually make a lot of money from those leads.

A lot of people in the setting process lie. 

They say they're broke, then randomly have $20-40k on a call. 

So you send them to a low ticket offer first. 

They buy, get an implementation call, and you upsell from there.

Out of 5,000 leads per month, roughly 1,000 are "disqualified." 

At 2-3% conversion on a $2k offer, that's $40-60k most coaches are just leaving on the table every single month.

Same traffic. Way more revenue.

Here's a setting tactic most people aren't using.

When a lead says they're not familiar with your offer, don't try to qualify them over text. 

Send them a VSL first.

Here's why it works:

A VSL is structured so serious buyers watch 80%+ and book a call. 

Time-wasters drop off early. 

The video is too "competent" for someone who's just casually scrolling.

You're letting the content do the qualification.

Old way: Setter spends 30 minutes in a DM thread. Leads go cold between responses. Unqualified people book calls for free advice.

With the VSL filter: Setter sends one link. Serious buyers book. Unqualified people bounce. Setter moves on.

It speeds everything up too. No waiting for back-and-forth. Interested people book directly after the video.

If your setter team is complaining about lead quality, this is usually the first thing I'd fix. 

The leads aren't the problem. 

You're just not filtering them before the call.

Content might not get you sales today…

But here's the math that changed how I think about long-term business building:

Month 1: 10 customers = 10 case studies = 40 pieces of content 

Month 2: 20 customers = 20 case studies = 80 pieces of content 

Month 3: 40 customers = 40 case studies = 160 pieces of content

You literally never run out of content when you treat customers as your content engine.

Every win becomes a testimonial. Every testimonial becomes proof. Every piece of proof attracts better leads.

I've seen this compound in ways that shocked me.

One client went from generic "here's my process" content to sharing specific case studies of 32-year-olds going from $0 to $40k/month.

Other 32-year-olds saw themselves in those stories and thought "if they can, I can too."

Lead quality went up. Close rates went up. Price resistance went down.

All because the content showed what was actually possible for someone exactly like them.

The problem is most people give up on content after 60 days because they don't see immediate ROI.

They don't realize they're building a compounding asset.

More customers = more proof. 
More proof = better content. 
Better content = higher quality leads. 
Higher quality leads = easier sales.

This is why brands doing $1M+ months have hundreds of testimonials and case studies.

It's not bragging. It's proof that de-risks the buying decision for everyone else.

If you're building a service business and ignoring content because "it doesn't drive immediate revenue," you're right.

But you're also missing the entire point.

The way we've been running Instagram shoutouts for 5 years is shifting.

The old way was straightforward:

Find a theme page. Pay for a slot. They repost. Traffic flows in.

That still works. 

But there's early signs of fatigue and the game is evolving.

What we're moving toward is a hybrid model. 

Instead of buying a separate ad slot, you invite the theme page as a collaborator on your actual organic content piece.

Old way: They repost. Their audience has no idea who you are. 

New way: Their audience lands directly on your organic content. You're borrowing their trust and pointing it at something you actually own.

When someone sees "this page I already follow collaborated on this," the barrier drops instantly.

My business partner runs this side of the business - he's probably the best in the world at it. 

And even he'll tell you it requires volume and a proper team. 

Not a Saturday morning play.

But the brands that figure out the hybrid model first are going to have a serious advantage.
