Over the last 17 years, I’ve turned words, ideas, and insights into growth.

I started as a journalist, chasing stories and mastering the art of making complex ideas clear. 

Soon after, I dove into advertising, learning what makes people stop, click, and buy.

As a copywriter I helped brands tell their story clearly and boldly. 

As a leader I built and scaled an industry-leading content engine from the ground up.

Most people only see the output and very few understand the infrastructure.

What looks like “a website” or “a campaign” is actually a living system underneath it…one that’s constantly being reinterpreted by algorithms, feeds, and now AI.

That system has changed in three important ways.
↳ Discovery no longer starts on Google alone
↳ Understanding often happens before a click
↳ AI systems retrieve, summarize, and recombine content across sources

This means that visibility does requires more publishing, but it must be done intentionally and strategically beyond keywords.

Instead, focus diverse sources. Find from where LLMs are retrieving data and work to appear there. The models break your query up into lots of other sub queries and to pull that data and suppl[y back to you the aggregate.

Then, there's the invisible calibration layer.

Iterating faster than the models update.
Redeploying content where retrieval actually happens.
Making precise adjustments across channels most stakeholders never look at.

With traditional SEO we have to wait weeks or months to see results.
But LLM-based discovery lets you test, learn, and measure tomorrow.

Content teams need to understanding that there are intelligence layers shaping what gets retrieved, cited, and trusted.

If you want to measure outcomes now, you can’t just track performance.
You have to invest in the systems (and people) that produce it.

Responsible for delivering the community and stakeholder engagement requirements for the Victorian Government's $1.4 billion Safe System Road Infrastructure Program. Recruited and built a team of ten people to deliver engagement services across the state of Victoria. My team ensured understanding and acceptance of the Program amongst the community and stakeholders to enable construction timeframes to be met.

Greenhill Farm Eco Village
Worked with a team of consultants to develop an innovative eco village concept for the regional community of Ballarat. Responsible for marketing, communications and stakeholder engagement.

Fair Trade Clothing Brands
Launched a UK Fair Trade clothing brand in Australia. Built up sales volume and brand awareness and sold the distribution business to an Australian Fair Trade retailer.

Danone Japan

Managed value-added and volume brands and oversaw a brand portfolio that grew to a combined turnover of $130 million. Delivered the company’s first digital strategy and relaunched the corporate website and turned it into a customer focussed acquisition tool. Responsible for above the line TV advertising as well as below the line activities such as national in-store customer engagement activities.
