My fitness journey stemmed from a dark place.
 
I was stuck in the depths of depression and anxiety. I didn’t love the person I was - on the inside or outside.
 
The gym was my outlet. But my first few years were full of trial and error and I made my fair share of mistakes.
 
Eventually things started to click. I began diving deep into how the mind and body work, educating myself and shifting emphasis to balance, mindset, and sustainable habits.  This journey has truly given me my life back. And now I have found my passion in helping others do the same.

3 low-impact exercises every desk worker needs to save you from lower back pain 👇


Most people don’t have a “bad back.”

They have weak glutes, tight hips, and a core that isn’t doing its job.

These 3 exercises fix that.

They’ll save your back, eliminate pain + tightness, and improve longevity.

They take less than 5 minutes and can be done anywhere:

1. 90/90 Hip Rotations

How to do it:

-Sit with both legs at 90°
-Rotate slowly side to side
-Keep your chest tall
-Move with control

2. Glute Bridges

How to do it:

-Feet shoulder-width
-Drive through heels, lift hips, squeeze glutes at the top
-Don’t arch your low back

3. Dead Bugs

How to do it:

-Lower back pressed into the floor
-Opposite arm + leg extend
-Slow, controlled reps

Do them 3–5x/week, 10-15 reps each. Your lower back will stop compensating - and stop hurting.

Holidays have always been hard for me since I’ve been on my own most my life.

And honestly, I usually try to distrct myself by staying in normal routine as much as possible.

Ran a 5k this morning, taking a few calls, working, hitting the gym and just keeping my mind moving.

I thought this year would feel better.

It's definitely a bit different because I do have some great people in my life — friends, teammates, and a community here in FL.

And that’s new... and it's such a blessing. 

But there are still a ton of thoughts and emotions getting kicked up for me.

If you’re someone who feels alone today, or if the holidays are hard for you too — know you’re not the only one.

You can still make the day meaningful in your own way. Move your body, eat something good, call someone you care about, and reflect on how far you’ve come.

Sending love and gratitude to all of you today.

You don’t get jacked from one workout.

You don’t get lean from one clean meal.

You get results by becoming the person who shows up consistently whether you feel like it or not.

But here’s the real reason most people can’t stay consistent:

They don’t have a system, structure or clear direction.

They’re constantly guessing.

“What exercises should I be doing?” 
“What should I be eating for my body?” 
“Am I doing this right?” 
“What do I do when life gets busy?”

That confusion is what leads to inconsistency.

I’ve relapsed more times than I can count.

Back into depression. Back into binge eating. Back into bad habits.

But I never stayed there.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

1. Relapse isn’t failure. Falling off doesn’t make you weak, staying down does.

2. Shame keeps you stuck. The faster you let go of guilt, the faster you get back on track.

3. One decision can reset everything. One walk, one workout, one healthy meal - that’s all it takes to rebuild momentum.

4. You won’t feel ready. Every comeback starts when you take action before motivation shows up.

5. Relapse doesn’t erase progress. The lessons, discipline, and habits are still in you - you just have to reactivate them.

I’ve fallen off more times than I can count.
But I’ve always gotten back up.

If you’re stuck in the cycle, remember: relapse isn’t the end. It’s part of the journey.

It’s been about 4 months since I quit my job... and I still don’t think I’ve fully processed it.

That was one of the biggest, most pivotal moments of my entire life...

And what’s crazy is how quickly I just moved forward from it.

Because for months leading up to that last day, it completely messed me up.

The emotional stress, the constant pressure, the doubt… it had me a wreck every day.

I kept replaying every fear in my mind:

What if I fail.
What if I let my team down.
What if I lose everything.
What if I can’t do it.
What if I regret this.
What will I do without that instability.

It was a lot. And even the first few days after I left, my mind was still spiraling.

But I didn’t have time to sit in it, I had work to do, people to serve, a business to run. So I kept moving, day by day, doing what I always do.

And somewhere in that process… I naturally stepped into alignment.

It stopped being something I questioned or feared. 

I don’t think about that old job or that old version of myself anymore. I just trust that I’ll be good and I keep moving forward and showing up every day. 

Because that’s really all you can do.

When you’re in it, your mind always goes to worst-case scenario, playing all the “what ifs” and things that could go wrong. It’s paralyzing, I know.

But once you’re on the other side, it just becomes life. Completely normal and just business as usual.

And you realize the fear was never the real problem… staying stuck was.

Sometimes the scariest decisions end up being the ones that pull you directly into the life you were meant to build.

You just have to take the step out into faith and let the rest unfold. 

You are always more capable than you think.

So where in your life are you staying stuck because you’re afraid to choose yourself?

People treat their cars better than their own body.

You’d never skip oil changes, ignore warning lights, or run a car into the ground and expect it to keep performing.

But that’s exactly how most people approach their health:

 – running on low sleep and wondering why energy crashes
– avoiding strength training because they’re “too busy” 
– pushing through stress with no recovery 
– skipping meals, then overeating at night 
– waiting for the perfect time to start

And then they’re confused when fat loss stalls, confidence drops, or every workout feels 10x harder than it should.

Your body isn’t a rental.

It’s the only vehicle you get for life.

If you want to lose fat, feel energized again, keep up with your family, and get out of the all-or-nothing cycle... 

You have to maintain yourself with the same care you give everything else you value.

Fuel it better. 
Strengthen it consistently. 
Rest it intentionally. 
Treat it like something worth protecting.

Because the truth is: your life gets easier when your body stops fighting you.

And that starts with how you take care of it today.

My intention this year has been full force into relationships and experiences.

Two things I neglected for most of my life

Especially the past few years while working nonstop and building my business.

And honestly... it was really fucking hard to pull back and let myself live more.

I’m so used to my world revolving around work.

That’s been my identity for as long as I can remember.

But shifting out of that has been one of the most transformative things I’ve ever done.

This year I explored new parts of Florida.
Traveled to Egypt and Peru.
Pushed through social anxiety.
Learned how to communicate better.
Learned how to actually let people in.

I started structuring my weeks around new events, new conversations, new people and forcing myself to be uncomfortable every single day.

I’ve never had community before.

So to now have that, people I care about, and to feel plugged in where I live is just unreal.

To the point where now I’m having to slow down because I’ve been trying to keep up with everyone and everything.

And here’s what I’ve realized:

Expanding your life isn’t about doing more.
It’s about letting yourself experience more.

The areas you avoid usually hold the biggest growth - in life and in your fitness.

Because when you expand your life... your health, energy, and consistency expand with it.

I used to think Netflix, scrolling, and zoning out was “rest.” 

But none of it ever made me feel better.

Once I understood the difference between rest and escape, everything changed. 

If you constantly feel tired or “off,” this might be why.

The last couple months have shown me something I wasn’t fully expecting...

The massive gap between the standards I hold for my business and the way a lot of “well-known” coaching companies actually operate.

Since hiring new coaches for myself, the contrast has been insane.

The care, the intention, the support, the communication has been entirely disappointing.

Now I don’t expect everyone to operate the way I do.

But damn, it’s crazy how many “reputable” coaches are running sloppy systems with zero intention behind what they do.

It’s discouraging when I’m looking for guidance to get to the next level and operate at an elite level.

So I can’t imagine being someone who’s brand new, overwhelmed, or less experienced trying to navigate all of this.

It sucks and the industry makes it way too easy for people to fall through the cracks.

But I’m choosing to use this as fuel.

It’s given me even more confidence in who I am, how we run things, and the vision I have for my business moving forward.

I want to be the best in this space.

I want a reputation for unmatched service, care, intention, and attention to detail.

I want every client to feel supported and taken seriously — not just another number.

Building a team, hearing their feedback, and seeing how aligned we are has only made this clearer.

There’s been a fire lit under me like no other.

Standards matter.
Care matters.
Follow-through matters.
Actually giving a shit matters.

We operate differently at Unbreakable for a reason, and I’ll never sacrifice that.

People deserve better. And I’ll die on that hill.

I don’t even own a TV.

I don’t watch TV, Netflix, or scroll on my phone.

People are always shocked when I tell them that.

But it’s because I used to do those things and though I was “resting.”

I’d lie on the couch, grab a snack, throw on a show and and numb out after a long day.

But I was actually just escaping.

Because those things don’t recharge you. Every time I’d come out of it just as drained and tired.

They just distract you long enough to feel even more drained afterward.

That’s leisure, not true rest.

Leisure disconnects you from your life, it just keeps you from feeling empty for a moment.

While rest reconnects you with it and fills your cup.

Rest is the stuff that actually recharges you: 
-walking outside 
- journaling 
- praying 
- reading 
- unplugging 
- being in nature 
- spending time with the right people 
- quiet time with God

Whenever I have free time I crave these things because I feel so much lighter, energized and at peace.

And here’s the part that clicked for me... 

You turn to leisure when your days lack meaning, when the work wasn’t fulfilling, and when you didn’t feel present, productive, or aligned. 

That’s why you collapse onto the couch feeling exhausted and mentally checked out. 

True rest feels completely different... and you don’t have to earn it by burning yourself out. 

You just have to choose things that actually restore you instead of numb you. 

Your body doesn’t need more stimulation.
It needs stillness, intention and space to breathe again. 

Stop confusing leisure with rest. 

Your life will change fast when you learn the difference.

Your habits always match what you think you deserve.

You just need to stop waiting for the “right time.”

Health isn’t what you work on after you succeed.
It’s the thing that allows you to sustain success in the first place.

I don’t trust a fitness coach who’s out of shape.
I don’t trust a relationship expert who can’t keep a relationship.
I don’t trust a business coach who’s never built a real business.

Because leadership isn’t about what you say, it’s about what you live.

Over the last year and a half, I’ve been all in on developing as a leader.

And what I’ve learned is simple:

It’s purely about standards.

If you expect a high standard from others, you have to set it first.
If you want people to follow you, you have to embody the values you preach.
If you want to attract great people, you have to be one.

Anyone can talk about discipline, integrity, or excellence.

But living it every single day, when no one’s watching is where real leadership is built.

People don’t follow words.
They follow energy.

And if your actions don’t match your message, no one’s taking you seriously.

It’s so easy to get caught up in saying yes.

For the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m building real community and growing a ton in my relationships.

But I’m also introverted and have a very short social battery life.

And lately, I’ve been packing my schedule full to the point I’m overdoing it...

And I didn’t even realize it until I hit a wall.

I’ve been so drained socially that my cup has basically stayed empty the last few weeks.

And when your cup is empty, you don’t feel like yourself.

So now I’m having to be more intentional with saying no.

Not accepting every invitation.
Not feeling obligated to show up for everyone else.
Not sacrificing myself just to make others comfortable.

And I know a lot of you relate to that.

Because this is exactly what so many high achievers struggle with.

You say yes to your job.
Yes to your kids.
Yes to your friends.
Yes to every responsibility that pops up.

And the only person who gets the “no” is you.

But you can’t build a healthy body, strong habits, or consistent routines if you never give yourself any time or space.

Your fitness, your energy, your mental clarity... they all require you to be a priority, not an afterthought.

Saying no isn’t selfish, it’s a non-negotiable.

Protect your time, peace, and give yourself what you give to everyone else.

Because the more you show up for you, the better you can show up for everyone around you.
