I had 944 unreplied messages. 1,369 dead groups. 840 relationships gone cold.

So I built a Telegram app to fix it.

It works perfectly. I use it daily.

But Telegram app store rejected it twice. 

Not only do users feared sharing their phone number. Even Telegram doesn't trust third-party login flows with it. But you need it for the app to work.

The gap exists because the moat is psychological, not technical.

Here's the twist:

I found a native login flow that never asks for your phone number. 
Fully within Telegram's own logic. No scary permissions. No exposure.

I have worked in the media industry as an editor for 3 decades , on over 75 different shows. These shows include some of the biggest names in the industry.

For the Past 9 years,I’ve been learning everything about blockchain, web3, and the cryptocurrency industry. This industry is all about learning and being ahead of the curve, so I attend many events and discussions on the subject.

The AI industry is one of the most transformative and disruptive technologies to have came out. None of us can afford to ignore the benefits it’s brings to workflow, and speed. As a video Editor, the AI video scene is of particular interest. I am constantly working with new versions of the software to keep ahead of this fast moving sector.

I set myself challenges to create short AI video ideas using only free tools in 24 hours to test different workflows for things like character interactions.. or action scenes such as this.

it’s a scrapbook of ideas. And I share as I go. Because the tech moves so quick.. anything not posted imediatly dates. And workflow is the main aim.

Post production workflow for AI video’s is pretty much the same as any project.

With the stunning exception that if your missing a shot.. you can just generate it.

Obviously nothing is that simple. The bigest issue with AI filmmaking in continuity. 

Character consistency, or consistent backgrounds isn’t such a huge issue in general filmmaking. But in AI… It’s one of the biggest concerns.

But once you have all your shots together.. the one thing you’ll notice .. is that the sound won’t be consistent.

I pretty much strip everything apart from dialogue.. and recreate in post while building the edit.

That way you get the most consistent and impactful sound effects and music. 

It’s vital to use music and sound effects to punctuate your story telling elsemit will feel flat. 

If you need to replace the voice.. eleven labs has you covered.. but be careful to choose a voice that matches your character.. else it won’t work well.

I wanted to share this insight into editing AI videos.

Everything here was created for zero cost. Mainly using Grok Video. 

Making AI video doesn’t have to mean expensive subscriptions..Far from it if you don’t mind a few limitations. And working around those can be half of the fun.

I recently shared the timeline for an AI video project I created using Grok because it’s free along with free editing software on my iPad.

So here’s the workflow for “Bill & Dave and the Portal of Fashion.”
The process:

* Come up with the idea and storyboard the shots.
* Render isolated shots for each character, prop, and background from eight different angles.
* Create stills for each shot using the isolated assets. Grok only lets you combine three assets at a time, but you can keep adding two more to the previous image until you get what you’re looking for.
* Animate the shots.
* Put a rough assembly together in Premiere.
* Figure out what’s not working and generate replacement shots or sections.
* Strip out most of the non dialogue sound. Replace sound effects. Add music. Recut shots to the music.
* Choose four strong shots to combine into the thumbnail.
* Tweak. Polish. Export.

The aim is to develop a workflow that delivers consistency using free tools. There’s no barrier to entry … anyone can have a go. (There are two Kling shots in there but still free, just watermarked.)

I’d encourage anyone to try making something.

Once you have a workflow, it’s all about the idea.

And it’s free. So why not?

Sebastian Grey He gave a fascinating look at his workflow for creating full GenAI scenes for his upcoming feature film, Mother: Welcome to the Occupied States.

Thierry Levy & Ric Comline A talk from the hosts at Blind Pig on their graphics pipeline and how they combine AI filmmaking with traditional techniques to achieve their desired results.

Katrien Grobler & Petra Molnar A fascinating presentation on how GenAI was used to modernise a famous brand’s content while keeping it consistent and aligned with client standards.

It was a great night, with generous drinks provided by Blind Pig that eventually spilled over into the pub. Lots of enthusiasts in the room … a real reminder of the passion driving this new technology.

Events like this show that creativity and AI absolutely belong in the same conversation. Looking forward to the next one.
