It's stopping the passive approach entirely.

And I'm actually celebrating.

It is completely insane.
Got our renewal notice last week.

20% increase.
Fewer benefits.
I couldn't believe it.

So we did what any rational business would do.

We shopped aggressively.

Contacted every broker. 
Compared every plan. 
Ran the numbers obsessively.

The result?

Nothing was cheaper.

So I talked to my entrepreneur friends.
They're seeing the same thing.

So we kept digging.
And we found something better.

Better for our team at least.

60% reduction in deductible. 
More services with co-pays. 
Just 5% more than our inflated rate.

So we're paying 25% more than last year.

Spoke with a $1B+ AUM firm with a new mobile app

Its failure took them by surprise.

6 months after launch, the truth about client experience became clear...

They'd done everything right.

$35,000 in development.
About the same annual commitment.

Beautiful interface.
Push notifications.
Portfolio tracking.

Then they worked 1:1 with nearly every client.

Personal calls.
Hand-holding through downloads.

It worked.

80% of clients downloaded the app.
The team celebrated.

During the rollout it looked promising.
Client used the app, engagement hovered at 40%

The month after rollout was complete, only 15% used it.
The next month (month six) 15%?

Why? the CEO shared the 2 reasons we hear all the time.
They struggled to deliver enough relevant content.

On their own, clients would open the app.
See their balance.
Then close it.

But there was something else.

They observed clients behavior across everything they sent:
Some preferred updates via email.
Some mostly used the web
The 15% preferred mobile.

All before I get into the office
Clients are the same.

They want different channels for different things."

On the go checks on mobile.
Updates via email or mobile notification.
Detailed reviews on desktop.

The consultants told them to go all-in on mobile.
And it failed.

Not because the app was bad.
Because humans don't live in one channel.

The best firms don't bet on one channel.
They meet clients where they actually want to be met.

Of course we're an AI bubble ...
But that doesn't mean what you think.

Yeah, valuations will crash.
Money will be lost.

Some of your favorite AI tools will disappear.

But here's what people forget:
Tech bubbles don't just destroy value.
They build infrastructure.

The dot-com crash killed pets.com and Webvan.

But it left us with:
→ Fiber optic networks
→ Data centers
→ Web protocols
→ Payment systems

All the stuff that made Google, Amazon, and Netflix possible.

The AI bubble is doing the same thing right now.

We're building:
→ Massive compute infrastructure
→ Trained models
→ Integration frameworks
→ AI-native workflows

So will your favorite AI toolmaker go away?
Probably.

But by then the value of AI will have been embedded in everything else.

The bubble isn't the problem.
It's the delivery system.
