Google Suspended Our Ads Account — After 15+ Years and $15,000,000 in Spend. 

That’s pretty much what Google just did.

After 15+ years as an advertiser and over $15 million USD spent across their platforms… our account was suspended for “suspicious payment activity.”

An account their own team helped set up, configure, bill, structure, and manage.

An account where they onboarded us, they verified billing, they helped upload payment methods.

An account that has never had a dispute, a chargeback, a failed payment, nothing.

And yet here we are: flagged by some over-zealous algorithm like we’re running a shady dropshipping operation 

What exactly was suspicious?

Good question. Here’s what we gave them, in full good faith:

Corporate credit card
Photo ID
Business registration
Billing history
Screenshots
Invoices

We practically sent them everything but a DNA sample.

And still—still—we’re told:

“Your account is suspended due to suspicious payment activity.”

Very helpful. Super specific. Makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

What stings the most isn’t the suspension. It’s the indifference.
You’d think after a decade and eight figures in ad spend, there would be a human

But no. You’re funneled into the same support queue as someone who just created an account yesterday.

Loyalty?
History?

A track record of millions spent without a hiccup?
Apparently none of that makes a difference. After all these years, I’m just another ticket in a sea

And timing? 

Google chose to suspend us 12 days before Black Friday.

Twelve.

This is like locking the doors on a supermarket on Christmas Eve and then telling customers:
“Sorry, our algorithm didn’t like your face.”

It’s maddening.

It’s disrespectful.

And frankly, it’s not the Google we used to know.

Who did Google become?

Google used to be a partner.

Now it feels like a landlord with a bad attitude and a locked door.
Once upon a time, you could talk to someone.
Now, you talk to a form.

Once upon a time, account managers had authority.
 Now they have scripts.

Once upon a time, loyalty meant something.
 Now, loyalty gets you an automated suspension at 2:17 AM.

It makes you wonder:
How does a company built by obsessing over users end up treating its customers like disposable inputs for its machine?

Google, if you're listening: this is not how you treat partners.
We’re not asking for special treatment.
We’re not asking for favors.
We’re simply asking for what every advertiser deserves:
A real explanation.
A real human looking at the issue.
A real path to resolution.

And the dignity of not being treated like a fraudster after 15 years of partnership.
If your algorithm can’t distinguish between a $15 million longtime partner and an actual suspicious account, then maybe the algorithm isn’t ready to make suspension decisions.

If it can happen to us after 15 years…
It can happen to anyone.
Google, you were once the gold standard.
