→ I started Linjer with my wife in 2013 Q3 out of my living room with $20,000 in savings
→ In 2017 Linjer hit $1,000,000 in EBIT without having raised any external capital
→ From 2018 to 2020 I acquired 40% to 60% stakes in other D2C brands 
→ By 2020 my portfolio of brands generated close to $200,000,000 in annual sales
→ 2021 we took on external funding to acquire additional D2C brands
→ I now act as a fractional CMO across our companies managing a $50M+ in paid advertising

In my case, it was learning the hard way.

In 2018, a business I had built and scaled nearly fell apart. It wasn’t a product problem. It wasn’t a demand problem. It was an operating discipline problem.

That experience changed how I think about growth, cash flow, and what actually matters when you’re running or acquiring businesses for the long term.
