I’m a global GTM leader turned AI operator. I've spent the last decade helping companies like Meta, the BBC, and early-stage startups scale through brand storytelling, strategic partnerships, and product-led growth.

Today, I’m the Head of GTM & Chief of Staff at Ruli, a legal AI startup I helped build from the ground up. I wear many hats, from shaping the GTM strategy to working directly with customers and engineers to make the product better every week.

Outside of work, I serve on the board of a community foundation and write a weekly AI newsletter called Mama Bear, where I explore the intersection of tech, work, and humanity in plain English.

Muskwa Resources Ltd.

Developed all of the accounting / financial procedures and policies for Muskwa. Oversaw all
Human Resources, payroll and other benefits matters.

Worked with the President/CEO on the strategic vision including fostering and cultivating
stakeholder relationships, as well as assisted in the development and negotiation of
contracts. Analyzed cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide the CEO and Board.

Oversaw the restructuring of the company to finance it. Led a corporate brainstorming
session around the re-branding of the company, where I subsequently proposed a new
corporate name the Team agreed with, and then developed all logo and marketing materials
to match.

Secured the financing for Muskwa to get its shale oil (Duvernay, Montney) project off the
ground. Established banking relationships, then monitored and ensured adequate cash flow
was there to carry forward the business of the company.

Prepared and co-ordinated the information for generating financial statements and MD&A
and notes for the company. Co-ordinated the preparation of investor reports, special
commercial analyses and other commercial reports. Evaluated potential JV, mergers and
acquisition targets and was essentially responsible for managing the process with the COO.

Founding Chief Financial Officer

Member of the Governance and Executive Committees of the then KenGas Inc. (KGI), which
subsequently became Muskwa Resources Ltd
Worked collaboratively with the existing Board to provide strategic guidance and leadership to KGI

Reviewed agenda and meeting materials prior to meetings with the CEO, assisted the Board and CEO with identifying and attracting new members to the Board

Assisted the Corporate Secretary with resolutions writing and ensured the resolutions were carried out

As a member of the Audit Committee and the company’s CFO, presented all accounting, treasury and finance updates to the committee and the Board in general

As CFO and Board member, developed and maintained all third party relationships with banks, legal
firms, auditors, TSX, and ensured compliance with government and regulatory bodies including
ensuring the company met continuous disclosure obligations for the CEO/CFO certifications

Partnered with the CEO to ensure the company had the correct vision, goals and strategy in place to take it from a negative state into a positive one 

Provided guidance and knowledge to fellow Board members as necessary to help them stay abreast of governance and regulatory issues that impacted Poplar’s daily operations
