I built an app for my mom.

She was a music teacher. The kind who shoved apples in my mouth so I’d “open wider.”

Hands-on learning. Literally.

This week I asked her former students what they remembered about her.

Then I dropped one line into Claude 4.5 Opus inside Base44 and pulled all their voices into one place.

I call it Open Wide, a tiny opus for my mom.

Apps have utility.
But sometimes that utility is making someone smile.
Sometimes the output is: you mattered.

A dean told me her advisors are drowning because students can’t find the simplest things.

I typed a few short lines into Base44.
An easy, searchable guide appeared in minutes.

She just said, “My advisors would cry if they saw this.”

Where do your students get stuck the most?

Most people don’t struggle with experience.
They struggle to name it.

I see this every week. In 1:1s, classroom visits, and in my skills-based work with National Association of Colleges and Employers. 

Students handle real problems every day… 
and still tell me they have “nothing to talk about.”

Not true.
They just don’t have the words.

Warmup is my attempt to fix that.
It turns the moments they overlook into language they can actually use, without sounding like a robot, a resume template, or someone pretending to be impressive.
