I rarely share posts. In my opinion this is the most important issue we are facing in the world today. 

This is why I Co-founded The Ancestral Healing Center. This is why I wrote Inherited Trauma and Family Wealth. This is why I'm collaborating with some of the most influential women in the family/health/wealth space.

You’ve read the headlines about AI psychosis — chatbots leading users to lose their grip on reality, upending lives and tearing families apart.

My beginning in the world of media, and what a place to start.

Fresh out of University, the subsequent education piece I received at the most prestigious publishing house in the world was quite literally a dream come true.

On paper I was a Junior Media Researcher, tasked with helping to support all of the various team members produce collateral packs to equip sales teams for client meetings.

In reality this was far more - this was an eye opener, a gateway, a high-level introduction to the world of big brand, of prestige and glamour, whilst being surrounded by the most supportive, encouraging team you could ask for.

I refer to it as my apprenticeship now, and what a gold sealed one to have.

Swallowing my shyness I nosed my way around every opportunity I could find from editorial/promotions and design teams, and any chance I could I would sit and listen, observe and soak up as much as humanly possible.

Not only did I work across titles from Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair and Glamour, but I was privileged enough to see top management at work - the Global Marketing Director, Jean Faulkner, shone a light on how to manage, supported by the most charming right hand man in Gary Read - both fluent in how to treat people correctly - invaluable value pieces that I have always referenced back to.

This was quite simply boyhood dreams come true.

The "About" section of LinkedIn has gotta be one of the trickiest copy asks going

Do you go for the gravitas vibe, and take the opportunity to say that you’ve worked for some of the biggest brands on the planet in some of the biggest award winning agencies going.

Or does it play better to talk about the rich tapestry of life’s experiences you’ve had, and muse wistfully about what you’ve learnt while teaching English for disadvantaged kids in South America, or worked in a Tuscan publishing company, but then run a very real risk of sounding a little bit on the pretentious side?

Or, is it best just to say its kinda a bit of all of that, mixed in with a few poor life decisions, and some decent ones, that have you to where you are right here, right now,

Which is in the enviable position of working and supporting some of the most talented people and teams going.  All delivered through the power of brand.

Because whatever road my life and career has taken me down, one thing that has stayed constant and kept me lit-me up continually, and that is bright, talented people.

How to bring the best out of them, how to engage them and how to elevate them to new heights.

Because whatever business you’re in, you’re in the people business.
