Maybe my outlook is optimistic, but I have come to optimism through tough times.

When I was young, my family suffered a significant loss. My sister. 

From the day we lost Lizzie, time became precious.

Making the most of every day or opportunity was suddenly vital. 

It was this awareness of how fleeting life can be that shaped me into the optimist I am today.
