That question has defined my career.

I didn’t come into content through marketing. I came through story. I trained as an actor, studying the tension between drama and comedy. After getting kicked out of my house at 20, I lived on a friend’s couch, worked the night shift at a gas station, and made a music video for a local band. I had one thought the whole time: If nobody sees this, the story doesn’t matter.

So I taught myself how to get it seen. 

That music video kicked off a 20-year career in digital marketing.

I’ve since worked with Emmy winners, NYT bestselling authors, fintech and ecommerce execs, and global B2B SaaS teams. I’ve helped startups grow from $1M to $5M in revenue, led content teams at scale, and built systems that turn strategy into influence, and influence into ROI.

Today, I run The Content Studio where we've developed products like Content Theory & The Narrative Design Toolbox—repeatable frameworks for crafting content strategies that resonate, perform, and earn buy-in from the boardroom to the buyer.

Our students have reignited their love for the craft, earned leadership’s trust, and done the best work of their careers.

The goal isn’t to just tell better stories.
It’s to make content a strategic asset.
And it starts with designing narratives that demand belief.

Writing this down here for accountability: 

These are my milestone goals for 2026. 


1. Publish The Narrative Design ToolBox and Content Theory as books. 

All of the material is there, I just need to finally finish adapting it. 

2. Release  "The State of (Dis)Content Report 2026"

This made some ripples in 2024, and the landscape changed enough last year that I think it's worth another look. 

3. Give *at least* one keynote on a big stage. 

But book some smaller stages in the process to put in the reps.

I could probably do more, but if I get to the end of the year having done at least this, I will consider the year a success.
