It’s 1:00am, and I realized something uncomfortable.

I’ve been talking a lot about LinkedIn, coaching, and income goals.

But I lost the plot.

Running a coaching business on LinkedIn didn’t just give me income; it saved my life. 

Before things worked, I wasn’t comfortable.

- I was fighting day-to-day.
- Low money.
- Huge levels of uncertainty.

I put a ton of pressure on myself to make something work fast.

Truthfully, I was only failing because I had no structure. 

My effort was there. 

What changed my life wasn’t belief or manifestation.

It was doing hard, uncomfortable things consistently:

- Investing when it felt risky
- Posting when it felt cringe
- Following through regardless of my emotions 

Yet, it was precisely those decisions that saved my business/life.

Make that uncomfortable decision you know you need to.

Let’s make 2026 special.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how “quiet” my life has become. 

Not empty,

But just far more under control. 

My calendar isn’t packed anymore.

My mornings aren’t rushed.

My workdays have structure.

I know exactly what I need to do in my business.  

I know when I work out.

I know when I rest.

That didn’t come from working more hours.

It came from building a business that gives me freedom.

This is what I value now:

• Clear work blocks
• Fewer decisions
• Predictable income
• Time to think
• Time to train
• Time to live

To me, this is the real win of a coaching business.

The ability to design your days instead of reacting to them.

Once you experience that, it’s hard to want anything else.

In 2017, I almost gave up on my business entirely.

I went 3 months without a single client.

It messed with my head.

I remember sitting in my car thinking:
“I’m doing everything I’m supposed to… why isn’t this working?”

I was so confused & stressed. 

The next week, I put all my faith into a business coach (Sam Ovens).

I even took out a line of credit to do it.

Within the first week, one thing became painfully clear:

•⁠ ⁠My business wasn’t failing because I wasn’t trying hard enough.
•⁠ ⁠It was failing because I was doing the wrong activities.

No amount of extra effort was going to fix that.

I remember on the first group call, he gave me a short list of things to focus on and said:
“Do only this. Ignore everything else.”

Seven days later, I landed a $2,500 client.

That moment changed how I see business forever.

Fast forward to today, and I see the same thing happening on LinkedIn.

People are posting more than ever.

Trying harder than ever.
 And still not getting clients.

It’s not effort.
It’s that the platform rewards the right actions, not more actions.

Anyone else work more productively from coffee shops?

The job market right now is an absolute bloodbath.

Smart people are getting laid off.
People are applying for positions they are overqualified for. 

It’s soul sucking.

Maybe I’m biased, but here’s what I believe,

The most reliable way to regain control right now is to build a coaching business properly.

•⁠ ⁠You can replace your corporate income relatively quickly 
•⁠ ⁠You give yourself time freedom, location freedom, financial freedom
•⁠ ⁠You never have to take orders from someone again
•⁠ ⁠You help people (your clients)

This only becomes a reality if you do things right. 

Aka have a real system in place to bring in clients consistently and take care of them.

Otherwise,

It will be more soul crushing than a standard 9-5. 

To make this work,

You need 4 things working harmoniously together:

•⁠ ⁠Your LinkedIn Profile
•⁠ ⁠Your content
•⁠ ⁠Your client acquisition funnel
•⁠ ⁠Your conversion process 

^ Most coaches are missing at least one of these 

And if even one of these is off, your buyers can never find you on LinkedIn.  

Oppositely, 

Once you have those locked in, 

Buyers will find you.

The LinkedIn algorithms will show your buyers to you. 

For that reason,

I changed my morning routine and it completely changed how I run my day.

The LinkedIn algorithms have made a huge update in 2026.

Last year,

It was the introduction of AI.

This year, it’s an entirely new system we are working with.

Two major shifts have happened: 

1. There is an increase of content creators on the platform
2. LinkedIn has introduced ads

This changes how organic content works. 

It means that that you have less margin for error when you post content. 

If you publish the wrong kind of content, 

You’ll run into the problems of:

* “I’m getting views, but my ideal clients are not finding me on LinkedIn”
* “The people who do show interest “can’t afford my services.”

If you do things right:

- Buyers will find you effortlessly
- You will finally have consistency in your client acquisition on LInkedIn

Your 2026 results depends on the decisions you make today.

80% of building wealth is just ignoring people who never built anything.

Your coaching business success requires you to do less.

You’re scared to commit because you’ve already spent money & time that didn’t pay off. 

I’ve seen this situation countless times.

1. You start your business with excitement
2. You hire some help
3. It doesn’t work out

You try to do it yourself.

It also doesn’t work out

And then you don’t know how to move forward.

It’s one of the most frustrating feelings because you know you have so much to offer,

You just want it to work. 

There’s only one way this ends.

Either you commit again fully.

Or 

You accept that this is as far as you go.

Because what you’re doing right now isn’t “being careful.”

It’s avoiding the moment where you know you have to go all-in to make this work.

Every month you hesitate, the decision gets heavier.

More doubt.

Less confidence.

Less belief in yourself.

Until eventually, the idea of starting again feels impossible.

Most people don’t fail,

They just stop choosing to win.

If you are posting on LinkedIn & still not getting clients, 

This isn’t “part of the process.”

It means something in your approach is broken.  

The problem is that most content on LinkedIn is designed to get attention from followers.

- “Likes” that don’t do anything for your business
- “Comments” that don’t activate buyer urgency

The only way to start attracting buyers on LinkedIn is to fix this right away. 

If you’ve been posting content for the last 30-60 days and haven’t seen results yet,

Doing “more” won’t change anything.

You must solve the root of the problem.
