Here's what stands out:
→ One center uses more water than a small city.
→ One center needs power for 80,000 homes.
→ Forty percent of energy goes to cooling alone.

Multiply those numbers by thousands of facilities.

AI needs ten times the resources of traditional servers.

Minor upgrades won't fix this.

Engineers are asking an absurd question:

What if we moved servers to space?

The physics:
→ Space is minus 270 Celsius. Cooling is free. No water needed.
→ Sun never sets in orbit. Solar panels work 40 times better.
→ No land purchases. No grid stress. Pure compute.

This isn't fantasy.

Progress is happening:
→ Lumen Orbit launched a satellite with computing hardware this year.
→ Microsoft and SpaceX are building space-based cloud architecture.
→ The European Space Agency says this runs almost carbon-neutral.

The roadblocks are real:

→ Rockets are cheaper, but not cheap enough.
→ Lag from space is tolerable for many workloads.

🎙️ I built a fully offline voice-to-text Mac app from scratch — and open-sourced it.

Tired of cloud-dependent dictation tools, I built WhisperBar — a macOS menu bar app that transcribes your voice locally using OpenAI's Whisper model, with zero internet required after the first setup.

Here's how it works:
Press ⌘ ⇧ Space → speak → press again → your words appear instantly wherever your cursor is. That's it.

What makes it different:
🔒 100% offline — your voice never leaves your Mac. The Whisper AI model runs entirely on-device using Apple's Neural Engine via CoreML.
🌊 Live waveform widget — a floating glassmorphic card appears on screen with animated bars that react to your voice in real time.
⌨️ Fully configurable hotkeys — set any key combo you want for both Toggle mode and Push-to-Talk mode directly from the settings.
✂️ Auto-paste — transcribed text is injected directly into whatever app you were in before you hit the hotkey. No copy-paste needed.
⚡ Fast — on Apple Silicon, the base model transcribes a 10-second clip in under 2 seconds.

Built entirely with:
→ Swift / SwiftUI + AppKit
→ WhisperKit (CoreML-optimised Whisper)
→ AVFoundation for audio capture
→ Carbon framework for global hotkeys
→ CGEvent for seamless auto-paste

The hardest part wasn't the AI — it was making the app feel native. Getting the floating widget to not steal focus, silencing the system alert beep during key capture, real-time audio level sampling at 20Hz for the waveform… every detail matters.

This is the kind of tool I wanted to exist, so I built it.

"Digital transformation" is a costly, misleading euphemism.

I've watched companies spend millions on systems they barely use.

The problem isn't the technology. It's that nobody wants to admit the workflows were broken before the software showed up.

You buy NetSuite. You implement Salesforce. You add connectors and automation.

Then six months later, you're running parallel systems because the new one doesn't match how people actually work.

The real issue gets buried under implementation timelines and feature lists.

Companies skip the diagnostic phase. They configure systems around technical requirements instead of actual information flow.

What you end up with works technically but doesn't match how anyone thinks.

I'm starting to see a pattern. The companies using 10% of their system features aren't failing at adoption. They're succeeding at avoiding an honest conversation about what's actually broken.

Digital transformation sounds better than "we finally have to fix our processes."

But the second one is cheaper.
