in the last 24 months, i've landed 10+ million cold emails in the primary inbox.
there are 4 things I understand better than most:

1. going all in on one provider

if Google has a bad week, your entire operation dies. then you're starting from scratch with 14-21 days of warmup ahead of you. diversify or you WILL regret it eventually.

2. bad DNS configuration

your SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records need to be absolitely perfect. if you mess this up, email providers flag you immediately. a vast majority either skip this or do it wrong.

3. using the wrong inbox provider

there are 2 paths here:

a) paying $7/inbox directly to Google
b) using the cheapest reseller

on one hand, you’re overpaying. on the other, you’re guaranteed sh*t deliverability.

the middle path exists. you just have to find it.

4. skipping the warmup period

jumping straight into sending thousands of emails is the easiest way to burn through your inboxes. you NEED at least 14 days to build reputation.

tl;dr:

think of this like building credit before asking for a loan.
