I have worked on several founder profiles in the last year and these are mistakes we avoid at every cost: 

→ Ever felt someone was “too good to be true”? 
Chances are, they weren’t being authentic. 

→ Inconsistent messaging is confusing and frustrating. 
It’s like telling you one thing today, another tomorrow. 

→ Not sharing your insights is like hiding the real stuff. 
People want to learn from you, so you need to share. 

Your personal brand isn’t just about YOU but also about how well you engage. 

If your audience is disengaged, your brand will suffer.

Your personal brand is an ongoing project. 
So don’t take it lightly only for the sake of numbers.

Am I improving… or just repeating the same hard work?


It’s a question I didn’t ask myself for a long time.

Because from the outside, both look identical.
You’re showing up every day, putting in the hours and staying “consistent.”

But the real difference lies in what that consistency is doing for you.

For a long time, I thought improvement meant working harder than yesterday.

But slowly, I realised that I was just repeating the same work with a little more intensity. Consistency had turned into autopilot.

Real improvement doesn’t come from doing more but doing things differently.

It comes from questioning your routine, challenging your own assumptions and being willing to unlearn habits that feel familiar but aren’t serving you anymore.

Sometimes growth looks like upgrading your skills and sometimes, it looks like stopping what no longer works even if it once did.

Because if your “hard work” isn’t taking you anywhere new,
You’re not being consistent but just being comfortable.

And comfort is the most silent form of stagnancy.

I am not rich and I don't come from a rich family either.


I didn't have big connections or any godfather in the industry.

I was born and brought up in Kolkata in a hard core Middle-class Marwari family.

By nature, I stayed true to my genes always -
> Saving >> spending
> Always did what made parents happy 

But there’s one thing my parents forced into me early on:
“You don’t get what you wish but what you work for.”

They made it clear that if I wanted respect, freedom or money, I'd have to earn every bit of it.

Even if that meant just boring work done consistently. I used to hate it! 
But honestly, today it has become my biggest strength.

Infact, not being born with a silver spoon has taught me that no one is coming to save me. So I need to make it count every single time. 

But that also means you get to build everything on your own.
And trust me, that’s a different kind of freedom.

Is being consistent one of your best traits, too?

I never count anything before I have it.


I learned this the hard way.

For the longest time, I would get excited too early like a client saying “looks good,” a payment “on the way,” a plan “almost final.”

And every time it felt way bigger than it actually was.
Because I had already decided it was mine.

Now I don’t do that anymore.

I don’t count a client until the work actually starts.
I don’t count money until it’s in my bank.
I don’t count plans until they’re actually happening.

It’s not about being negative but it just keeps life simpler.

Things, people and plans, everything can change. And honestly, it’s easier to deal with that when you haven’t built the whole story in your head.

The moment something is real, confirmed, done, it's great.
Till then, I treat it just as a possibility.

This one thought has removed so much stress from my life.

And people can call it cautious or boring, but it works.

We misunderstand personal branding so much. 


I’ve noticed this over and over that people put hours into how they look online, but very little into how they are understood.

And that’s where the real gap is.

Personal branding is about how people interpret you over time. And most of us never stop to think about what actually forms that interpretation.

Perception comes from small cues we give without realising:

– What we choose to talk about again and again
– The quality of thinking in our work
– How we show up when things aren’t going our way
– How people experience us in real interactions

I started paying attention to these things when I realised that perception doesn’t form because you “want a brand.”

It forms because people naturally make sense of you based on whatever signals you give them, intentional or not.

And once you understand that, personal branding becomes less about presentation and more about clarity.

That is the part most people miss.

Nobody tells you this but growing up means unlearning more than you learn.


And it’s the part no one prepares you for.

When you're younger, you pick up a lot of ideas without even realising it.
Say yes to everything, work nonstop, don’t rest too much, 
Don’t upset people, don’t take risks and definitely don’t fail.

All of it feels normal because everyone around you is doing the same thing.

Then you enter your 20s
And suddenly, half of that “advice” starts holding you back.

You realise you say yes out of fear.
You avoid difficult conversations because conflict makes you anxious.
You chase achievements because you think they’ll make you feel enough.

And that’s when you realise that nothing new will change your life unless you let go of the old things first.

Unlearning is uncomfortable and honestly, a bit annoying.
Because it forces you to question habits that once made you feel safe.

But it’s necessary.

You can’t grow with rules that were never meant for the person you’re becoming. You can’t build confidence on beliefs that tell you to stay small.

And if nobody told you this…
Well, now you know.

You open Instagram


And scroll through reels
Only to see somebody’s account who is the same age as you
But doing much better than you in life.

You see them crushing things and making everything possible.
You end up comparing yourself with them and start feeling bad about yourself. 

I know this loop because I have been there myself!

It wasn’t easy, but here is how I got out of it: 

→ I got so immersed in work that I forgot that the outside world existed.
→ I stopped looking at what others were doing and focused on my stuff. 
→ I only compared my today to my yesterday; nobody else no matter what.

Remember that all you have is the present moment.
You can’t change what happened to you in the past.

And neither can you control what others are doing.

So instead of wishing that you had started earlier, start today. 

You don’t have to look back or compare yourself.
Just focus on winning every day and you will win the week.

Because disciple = freedom

There is no stopping once you stop comparing and start doing.

I am not busy. 


And trust me, most people aren't! 
They are just living inside a mess they never organised.

For the longest time, “I’m busy” was my go-to excuse.
Busy to reply, show up or  finish things I should’ve done days ago.

But when I looked at my day honestly, I realised something embarrassing, 
I wasn’t actually busy. I just had zero structure.

Things were piling up because I never planned them.
Work felt heavy because everything was last-minute.
And I kept blaming “busy” instead of fixing the root cause.

Once I started planning my week properly, breaking things down, and deciding what actually mattered, my days felt lighter. 
The work didn’t reduce, but the chaos did.

Basically, people who look calm aren’t doing less.
They’re just managing all of it better.

So now, whenever I now say “I’m busy,” .
I ask myself, Am I genuinely busy? Or did I simply not plan things well?

Once you see the truth, you can’t unsee it.

It literally feels like everyone’s “working with top brands” now.


It is so common at this point.
Feels like a vibe check everyone is trying to build credibility.

But honestly, if everyone is with the top brands, who’s doing the actual work?

Somewhere the flex became louder than the output.
And the content got shinier.

I just miss the era where good work spoke first and the pitch came second.

I don’t know what to post on LinkedIn anymore! 


This was me almost every other week last year. 

I have also sat for hours in front of my screen
Not knowing what to post and how to show up! 

But this is what I did to change things: 

→ Identify 3 main topics based on your expertise. 
These should directly align with your business. 
For me, it’s Personal Branding and LinkedIn Growth. 

→ Add 1 belief-based topic that connects emotionally. 
Think of what you stand for. 
For me, it’s kindness and my raw stories. 

→ I commit to 4 posts weekly. 
3 posts to educate on core topics. 
1 post to share your stories. 

Keep trying different formats to keep things engaging, 
Always keep your audience in mind → write for them. 

This works because it balances expertise and emotion. 
Expertise → Builds authority and trust. 
Emotion → Humanizes and creates connections. 

It is okay to lose inspiration but if you build the right system
Writing content won’t be this complicated. 

Do you also struggle to find ideas for your content?

The most unnecessary problems at work come from unclear responsibilities.


I didn’t realise how common this was until I kept seeing the same pattern repeat across projects. Nothing major went wrong, yet everyone felt confused.

People were working, but no one was fully sure who was doing what and that tiny uncertainty slowly turned into tension.

And honestly, it’s not because people are careless.
Most of us just assume the other person “gets it.”
But what’s obvious to us is rarely obvious to everyone else.

The simplest method that has helped me the most is this:

“This is what I’ll do → This is what you’ll get → This is when you’ll get it.”

It sounds too basic, but it genuinely removes 80% of misunderstandings.

We talk so much about communication skills, but half of it comes down to saying things a little more clearly than we think we need to.

And most conflicts disappear right there.

Entrepreneurship was never on my checklist.


At 18, my only “plan” was to earn my own money. 

I was helping with events, saying yes to random gigs, basically anything that helped me avoid asking my parents for a single rupee.

Back then, founders felt like a different species.
They had clarity, confidence, capital and I had none of that.

But the more I worked, the more I realised that entrepreneurship isn’t about launching a company but about launching yourself.

It shows up every time you take ownership.
Every time you think, “What if I could build something better?”

And suddenly, you look around and realise something big is happening in India:

Entrepreneurship has become the next big aspiration not because everyone wants to be a CEO but because everyone wants freedom, impact and a life that feels like it’s truly theirs.

And honestly it makes you believe that anything is possible if you’re curious and consistent long enough.

That’s why what IIT Bombay is doing is so exciting.

I started working when I was 16.


Don't worry, it isn't another early success story! 

I started working because I was just very curious to learn and explore. 

My first few projects were small. Half of them didn’t even pay.

But each one taught me something like how to talk to people older than me, how to take feedback, and most importantly, how to stay consistent even when results took time.

I didn’t know writing could become a career.
Or that LinkedIn could open doors I hadn’t even imagined back then.

Looking back, I realise starting early gave me experience + clarity.
Clarity about what I enjoy, what I don’t, and how I want to spend my time.

Work slowly became something I did because I enjoyed 
and even today, I carry that same 16-year-old curiosity into everything I do.

At what age did you first start working?

This year, I did something every adult in my life told me not to do.


I stretched my rent budget by 35% literally in less than a week.

One random Tuesday, I saw a place and something in me just went, "This is it.”

Financially it was a bad idea but it just felt the best idea. 

It was the 1st time I was going to live all by myself and I wanted something that felt safe and home. So I wasn't ready to compromise. 

Within weeks, I realised why this “dumb” decision gave me the highest ROI of my career.

I started creating more, thinking better and just moving so much more smoothly. 

I wish people talked about how the cheapest option can be the most expensive when it kills your energy, focus and potential.

We calculate money saved but never the capacity lost.

And for me, paying more was an investment in peace, clarity and long-term output. 

The kind of ROI that shows up everywhere else.

I am so jealous of you.


Not because you’re successful.
Not because you’ve figured it out.

I am jealous because you still have clarity.

Last week, I met an old friend from college.
She’s still figuring out what to do next.

She said, “I don’t know where I’m heading, 
But at least you know where you are."

Honestly, I don't....
I have just made peace with not finding it all at once! 

Because as you grow, everyone expects you to have answers.
But most of us are still exploring, just at a different pace.

If you’re in your early 20s, don’t rush to “have it all figured out.”

→ Try new things even if they scare you.
→ Say no to things that don’t feel right, even if they look fancy.
→ Don’t let social media make you believe you’re late.
→ Write down what success means to you, not others.

You don’t need a 5-year plan.
You need a little more patience and a little less panic.

So if you’re 20 and lost — are you feeling left behind or good?

Please stop avoiding that conversation.... 

The one sitting in your mind every night.

You rehearse it a hundred times in your head like how you’ll start, what you’ll say and how they might react.

But when the moment comes, you say, “Maybe later.” I’ve been there. 

And I have realised that it’s not the conversation we’re scared of.
It’s what comes after it.

What if it changes things? What if they don’t take it the way we mean it?

Avoiding hard conversations feels easier because silence feels like control. But the truth is silence costs us more.

I’ve lost time, trust and sometimes even people because I thought staying quiet was safer. It never is.

The longer we wait, the heavier it gets.

Instead, having the conversation is only scary in your mind. You just need to start with honesty and a little courage.

Because the discomfort of a five-minute hard conversation is always better than the regret of not saying what mattered.
