OnBoard Programme

I was selected for one of 12 places to participate in the third cohort of the Onboard Programme.

OnBoard is a not-for-profit organisation set up to broaden the diversity of backgrounds and experience on all types of boards by skilling up and enabling talented individuals who are currently less likely to take on board roles. OnBoard works with individuals in the first ten years of their professional careers.

The programme includes
- Workshops on essential board topics, including the role of the board, legal and regulatory obligations, finance and strategy for board members
- Workshops on the board journey, including identifying individual strengths to bring to a board and the recruitment and application process
- Mentoring from an experienced recruiter
- Mentoring from an established board member

I'm responsible for researching, creating, updating and editing informative, SEO-optimised technical content around Software Engineering, Career Development, and Technical Blogging which caters to an audience of over 10k readers a month. 

I'm comfortable writing using Git and markdown.

I create graphics for blog posts using Canva Pro.

I promote content over social media channels, predominantly Twitter. I'm able to use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to analyze the audience and personalize content around the users' preferences. 

I'm also responsible for curating a weekly email newsletter with a 20% open rate where I keep the users engaged by sharing tips, statistics and personal stories.
