I provide practical solutions to business problems. 

I'm an entrepreneur first and a lawyer second - which allows me to tackle legal issues by putting myself in your shoes.

Let's be honest - lawyers have a bad reputation, and I can't blame people for feeling that way. We're prone to overcharging, being unable to provide definitive answers to questions, and providing a customer experience that's far from ideal.

That's never sat well with me.

It's pretty straightforward. I ask questions to understand your problem and your goals, and then we work through how to get you from Point A to Point B in a way that works for your budget, timeline, and risk tolerance.

The result is a lot of happy clients, referrals from clients and other lawyers, and a reputation for delivering practical, responsive, and cost-effective legal advice.

I'm certainly not afraid of fixed fees/giving quotes. After all, I wouldn't want to pay for any service where the bill would be a complete mystery at the end.

After starting my career at a leading Canadian firm and becoming an equity partner at the age of 29, I made the jump to working for an incredibly innovative, process-oriented firm called Renno & Co. We're a law firm operating like a tech company, and it makes a world of difference. 

On the side, I'm extremely passionate about (i) mentoring and training the next generation of lawyers (including through 4L Academy, which I co-founded);  (ii) working to make the legal services industry a kinder, more authentic, and more inclusive place for legal professionals and clients (including through my work with The Authentic Legal Professional).

Recently, I've embraced my entrepreneurial roots and am working on a number of ventures in the legal space. It was time to take years of frustration and complaints and create the change that I wanted to see!
