Kout's vision was to gamify shopping. Users play free games sponsored by brands, for a chance to win discounts on 4 millions of products, from partners such as Amazon, Nike, Unilever, Virgin and Samsung. Funded by #1 madtech accelerator Collider and top angels. Couldn't get unit economics right so eventually pivoted towards custom B2B integrations for retailers.

Spent a year as part-time associate at Octalysis Group, the world #1 gamification consultancy lead by Yu-kai Chou (Gamification Guru of the Year 2014/2015, TED speaker, author). Clients include Google, Accenture, Lego, IBM, HP, eBay, Yahoo... Learnt about user and game psychology, behavioural science directly from world renowned experts - something that is at the core of all products I design.

Betify was a TikTok for competitive people. Users snap videos of 'challenges' and the more upvotes they collect, the best rewards they win. Rewards are sponsored by brands, to engage their audience in new ways, for fun or for a good cause - such as the 'ice bucket challenge' back in 2014. Launched with a bang by hiring dozens of student ambassadors to create live challenges in Universities, hijack events (SW4 festival) and sponsored upcoming athletes (wakeboard, basejump). Never managed to hit critical mass to excite large brands.

RogueTrader

RogueTrader was the first arcade trading game for iPhone, pioneering hypercasual games before it was a thing. Grew virally with $0 spend, to get featured #2 on the Finance category of the AppStore, appeared on US National TV, and was Finalist of Game to Watch 2014.

Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains

As Engine Strategy Engineer, I was responsible for engine allocation for the 3 FormulaOne teams powered by Mercedes HPP: Mercedes AMG, McLaren and Force India. During the season, my job consists in developing models to assess engine damage, processing and analysing results post races, to determine optimum engine use for the following races.

Other tasks and responsibilities:
- Virtual ECU development and deployment to track
- Engine mode sensitivities simulations
- Pre race simulations processing
- Software specification and support to trackside engineers

Previously, Admix allowed content creators to monetize real estate within their games or the metaverse, via product placements. We work with 300+ games and hundreds of advertisers. Saudi Arabia’s growth is one of the most exciting story of the last decade, and I am proud to see them using Napster enterprise solutions to scale productivity and labour with AI!
