As a Creative Consultant, I collaborate with a team of talented professionals to deliver high-quality and impactful stories that resonate with the viewers and clients. I leverage my skills in new media, blogging, and writing, which I have honed over 4.5 years of working in this role.

I also have a passion for documentary filmmaking, which stems from my curiosity and interest in exploring the lives and works of eminent personalities and social issues. I have been directing, shooting, and editing documentary films for over 27 years, covering various subjects, such as veteran filmmaker Mrinal Sen, maestro V Balsara, famous writers and filmmakers of Calcutta, and environmental and cultural topics. I have also assisted renowned filmmakers Buddhadeb Dasgupta and Gautam Ghose in their productions. My goal is to use my artistic and technical skills to create compelling and meaningful documentaries that inform, inspire, and entertain the audience.

Don't we comment too fast while watching a film and after watching it?

Comments should come from a prepared mind, which is ready to go deep down. 

▪️

Many of us have watched the film, Titanic. Very few of us asked such questions: "Is there something very complex to handle?" "Did they really take such risks?" Or "Is there any hidden truth in the making which is unknown to us?"

▪️

Do we really want to demystify film? Or, do we love to pamper the kids within us and keep watching?

▪️

A film goes through different phases :

Pre-production (from developing an idea, storybuilding, to location hunting), production (shooting, etc), post production (editing, etc)

When we watch, story of the film grab us, generally. Many of us love to watch a "story" with characters talking and moving.

This short reel will demystify filmmaking.

This reel of the shooting of Titanic will show the gap between our imagination about the making and the fact.
