At some point in 2025 or 2026 you're going to get an awesome idea to build a company that offers an AI sales assistant. 

It's very important that you do not follow this feeling.

Have you heard? Ladies are changing their gender to male on @Linkedin in order to get better reach on their content. 😏 

Every week or two there is a new fad with the algorithm that people are monitoring, attempting to decode, or 'beat'. For those who make their living by getting demand on this platform, I don't blame them at all. 

What I can't figure out is why LinkedIn never seems to weigh in on these debates. Has anyone seen them "comment" or refute some of the wild tips or accusations that are out there? 

And yes, I'm still debating if I want to "test this" for myself 🙃

As a mom in tech, here are the "metrics" I track on a daily basis:

Came to share a WIN: 

I've been a little hit and miss with HubSpot's AI features. 

BUT, using AI to write the calculation in my new property, I'm sold! 
Just worked for me on the first try. ✨ 

I was using ChatGPT for this for a while but it was always wrong despite multiple attempts. This one "just worked". 

Are you all doing this already? If not, go try!

You're about to show some "interesting data" 
STOP 🛑 

If the only word you can use to describe the metric/KPI is interesting, you need to go back and do it again. 

How can it be actionable? What does it mean for the business? If nothing jumps out at you, then it might not be worth covering at all. 

Interesting data doesn't really help anyone, just saying

Happy Monday 🥲

Does anyone have an emotional support vegetable? 🥕 

You know, the one that you buy weekly and it goes bad (because you don't eat it) and you replace it again the next week 👀 

Throwing away your emotional support vegetable each week is akin to having a leaky bucket of customers that churn too soon! 

This analogy works... I promise but you have to hang with me. 😅 

Grocery budget: eating healthy at home
Cooking and eating groceries: keeping happy, paying customers

Restaurant budget: avoid eating at home, going out 
Restaurants: the food is yummy but it costs a lot more and it's probably not as healthy... aka, going out to wine and dine shiny new customers ✨ 

We all know eating at home is cheaper, healthier, and can be just as good. But man, does it take TIME— and eating out is so tempting! When we ignore our groceries and go out, they don't get used in time, and they might spoil. If they are a good veg, they WILL SPOIL. In that case we have to either spend money to go out and replace them, or even worse we just go out to a restaurant again instead. 

This is a vicious cycle. We promise we'll do better so we keep investing in groceries but somehow the value doesn't get realized. 

Now we have less money, we weigh more, and we've wasted food in an economy where some people really need it. And we're running in place with the same revenue. One customer in, one customer out. Ooops. this kills revenue. 

New business is all about "being first to the table" and using signals to find the deal cycle at the split second it has begun. But guess what? Your customers? They are already at YOUR TABLE. Or... in your fridge? haha you get it.

Have I always been such a hand talker? I can't remember for sure. 

Anyway... I really enjoyed talking with Alex Raymond on his podcast, Account Management Secrets. We talked about what it actually takes to tear out old systems, rebuild from scratch, and make RevOps' processes / the CRM easier for the people who rely on it every day. 

As usual I tried to give some advice that is as practical as possible, backed up by my very strong strategic "RevOps beliefs" 

If you’re trying to simplify your stack or bring sales, AM, and CS closer together, this one should land 🤍
