We just published a new study that explores connection between Technical SEO factors and citations in AI Search. As expected fundamentals such as structured data are very important for AI search.

For me the most interesting conclusion is that sources that rank higher in the response have better engagement metrics. Either AI likes the same content we like or people trust more citations that appear at the top 🤔

When Google introduced AI Overviews we all wondered how it is going to impact their advertising revenue. While it took them a while to figure it out, ads on SERPs with AI Overviews are getting more and more common.

Maybe that's where OpenAI will take inspiration when they introduce their ads.
